The issue of plastic shopping bags as a primary source of rubbish and environmental pollution has become a contentious topic worldwide. Many argue that banning these bags is an essential step towards mitigating both land and water pollution, while others believe that a ban might not be the most effective solution. I largely agree that plastic shopping bags should be banned, due to their detrimental impact on the environment, but I also recognize the necessity for a comprehensive approach that includes public awareness and alternative solutions.
