Some people say that the reason for learning a foreign language is in order to travel to or work in a foreign country. Others say that these are not the only reasons why someone should learn a foreign language. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Although some people believe that the only purpose of learning foreign languages to travelling and working in a foreign country. However, other often feel that to get settled in a new country is that not only reason someone learn a new language. In my opinion, people learning different language in order to get successful career and improving the understanding of cultures

Some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money. Others argue that it is better to try and improve such situations. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

It's quite common for people to meet different conditions during their lives, part of them choose to fight against their fate, while others select their way of tolerating the reality. From my point of view, I argue that everyone can have their own ways of living, but I prefer to experience the challenging situation, and enjoy the satisfaction of overcoming the difficulties. In this essay, I will discuss both attitudes towards the bad situation, and outline the key points of them.

Fossil fuels are the main source of energy around the world. However, people are being encouraged to use alternative energy sources such as wind energy, solar energy and so on. Do you think this is a positive or negative development?

Owing to the surge in industrialisation, the demand for fossil fuels has also increased. For this reason, utilisation of renewable sources is encouraged in comparison to non-renewable sources. In my opinion, this is a positive development as non-conventional resources are not only reusable but can also mitigate environmental pollution.

Some people believe that children should not be given homework everyday. While, others believe that they must get homework everyday in order to be successful at school. Discuss both sides and give your opinion.

Education plays a vital role in every student's life. It is believed by some people that homework should not be given to students regularly. On the other hand, some are in favour of giving homework to children in order to enhance study skill at school. I will discuss both views followed by my opinion in the subsequent paragraphs.

Governments should spend more money on railways rather than roads. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

The prime modes of transportation around the world are either roadways or railways. Some people argue that government should cut off the budget on paving roads and invest more in building and maintaining railway system. I totally agree with the notion because of the two prime reasons. Firstly, transportation through train provides extended reach to small towns and villages and secondly, it is a faster alternative.

Some people say History is one of the most important school subjects. Other people think that, in today’s world, subjects like Science and Technology are more important than History. Discuss both these views and give your opinion.

Students study a lot of subjects in the school. History, Geography, Science, Maths and Language subjects. All these are core subjects in the school. Some people feel that History is the most important subject. However, some believe that in today's world, Science and Technology are more important than History.

Formal examinations are the only effective way to assess a student's performance. Continual assessment such as course work and projects is not a satisfactory way to do this. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Evaluation of pupils by official exams is the best method, but other methods as oral, assignment and projects are not sufficient to estimation. I slightly agree with this because other methods are as necessary as traditional one.

Studies have shown that many criminals have a low level of education. For this reason, some people believe that the best way to reduce crime is to educate people in prison, so that they can get a job when they leave. Do you agree or disagree?

Many studies have revealed that most of the offenders are not educated. Therefore, a few individuals think that educating accused, behind the bars, is a great way to lower the crime rate. Because, when they finish their tenure in jail, they will be a better person having enough education that they can get a job right after their capture time. I fully concur with the idea of providing education to the convicts.

Some people say that music is a good way of bringing people of different cultures and ages together. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion.

Music is a synopsis of the global village, communication, variety, game changer, comfort through relaxation, closeness, emotions, motivation, happiness shaping up skills, performance, perfection, hard work and abilities around the globe. In the present era, music is with common interests, relaxation, social gathering along with music presents hate, language barriers and personal uses. However, music has its own benefits and drawbacks to the people in general and to the society as a whole.

Creative artists should be given freedom to express their ideas (words, pictures, music and films). However some people think government should take some restriction with them. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion? Give your reasons with own knowledge and give examples.

Although putting a hindrance to artistic creativity is thought by some to be crucial for society, others claim that artists should be totally free to give voice to their beliefs and emotions. I lay my thought alongside the opinion of the latter, due to the arts and freedom of expression, both are the rudimentary elements of human rights.

It has always been the case that in certain ways our lives are intertwined with the lives of others. However, in the modern era, some people believe that dependency between people has increased, whereas others believe that people have grown to be more independent.

Some people think it is more important to spend money on roads and motorways than on public transport systems. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is believed by some that it is more vital to support developing infrastructures instead of public transportation financially. In my opinion, I do not agree with this statement as I think that funding public transportation is significantly important.

There are many famous songs that people can feel like a unity in the world. Some people believe that music can make people a special group, regardless of different cultures and ages. I will agree with that music is a good way to be together.

This essay talks about why team sports are an essential factor for the children when it comes to determining their success in future careers. This is because of the communication skills, Social skills and self-esteem they develop while playing together in one team. Children playing solo sports also develop important skills which are necessary for a bright future.

It is irrefutable that travelling brings out an unseen side of the person. While there are many benefits to student exchange program, there are also some drawbacks to consider. In this essay, I will discuss both sides of the argument.

Some people think that parents should teach children how to be good members of the society. Others, however, believe that the school is the best place to learn this. Discuss both views and give own opinion.

Children are the mirrors of the society and they become what they learn during their childhood. Therefore, some people feel that it is the duty of parents to teach them to be good members of the society, while others believe that schools should teach these things to kids. In my opinion, not only parents and schools, but also other elders with whom a child spends his/her time plays a crucial role in the making of an individual.

University education plays a significant role in anyone's life. Many people got success in their life without tertiary learning. In my opinion, higher education is compulsory to achieve success in life. This essay will put the light on my opinions.

Some people say that economic growth is the only way to end hunger and poverty, while others say that economic growth is damaging the environment so it must be stopped. Discuss both views and give opinion.

When it comes to economic growth, we have two schools of thoughts. One, those who think economically developed countries are hampering the environment and making our world unfit to survive. On the other hand, in the opinion of the second category of people economic development helps us to take a stand against poverty and hunger. However, in my opinion, people in the name of development are unbalancing the equilibrium of nature and hence damaging the environment.

Today, the high sales of popular consumer goods reflect the power of advertising and not the real needs of the society in which they are sold. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is true that we are increasingly surrounded by advertising companies that want to sell us their products. To some extent I agree that advertising has an impact on sales, but I would also argue that we do need most of the goods that we buy.

Some people say that parents should encourage their children to take part in organised group activities in their free time. Others say that it is important for children to learn how to occupy themselves on their own. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

People believe that parents should persuade their children to participate in structured group tasks as a leisure activity while others thinks that it is crucial that children should develop the fundamental ability to keep themselves busy. In my opinion, children should not participate in arranged group schemes, although this will ensure best utilization of time, however, if they decide on their own, they will learn the essential skills of time management.
