First impressions are important. Some people think that doing well in interviews the key to securing a good job. To what extent do you agree?

In today's increasingly competitive job market, some people believe that candidates should focus on giving an excellent first impression during an interview because this is the best way to acquire the job. Personally, I agree with this view, and I will justify my claim in the following paragraphs.

In some countries the average weight people is increasing and their levels of health and fitness are decreasing. What do you think are the cause of these problems and what measures could be taken to solve them?

Health problems are increasing throughout the world lacking strong immunity and the environment. In some countries, the minimal weight of the public is going up and they are becoming unfit day after day. This essay will discuss the main reasons that are responsible for the health deterioration and major solutions which can be effective to overcome those difficulties.

1. Students should pay the full cost of their own university studies, rather than having free education provided by the state. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

Tertiary schooling plays a vital role in human life. It is commonly believed that pupils ought to pay their higher education fee by on their own instead of getting help from the state, while I completely disagree with this statement and will support my viewpoints in following paragraph.

Environmental pollution is a challenge battled by most countries all over the world. Some people are of the opinion that raising the tariffs on petrol is the most effective method of tackling the problem of increasing traffic and pollution. I totally disagree with this view, as other measures such as reduction in the use of private cars and creating transport systems that does not use fossil fuel are better productive techniques of curtailing traffic congestion and pollution.

In present time, television has become an essential part of everyone's home. A debate is going on between two groups of people about the usefulness of television where one group thinks that it is very effective equipment which can help to educate ourselves. On the contrary, the other group believes that it is a complete waste of time and a total failure as a teacher. In my personal opinion, I believe that television can become an effective teacher if used correctly. This essay will highlight both of the views and evidence supporting my personal opinion in this regard.

It is undeniable fact that the prices of fuels have flourished in the past few decades. It is often disputed by many people that fuel price hike is the only way to reduce the consumption of fuels while others do not agree with this.

Due to industrialisation and modernisation, standard of living of the people is rising day by day. In recent times, most of the people in big cities are living very low quality life. There are many reasons for this and also appropriate measures can be taken to improve it. In my opinion, rising population, Westernisation and environmental pollution are the major issues for this type of life.

These days, with the advancements in the fields of science and technology, many multinational companies are looking for professionals who are capable of handling difficult tasks. However, many people often wanted to be in the same field doing same old tasks. I think this kind of attitude cannot help people grow in their field.

Rich countries often give money to poorer countries, but it does not solve poverty. Therefore, developed countries should give other types of help to the poor countries rather than financial aid. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Just by giving a financial aid to under-developed or developing countries cannot eliminate poverty and starvation. Thus, developed countries should help them by supporting other kinds of help instead of giving or donating money to them. In my opinion, I agree that it would be the best if rich countries can assist poorer countries in the other way round because only financial aid cannot solve the social problems in a long term. However, it depends on the situation the each country faces at the moment.

The government should allocate more funding to teaching sciences rather than other subjects in order for a country to develop and progress. To what extent do you agree?

In our country, the government spending huge money in their scientific research and development compares to other R&D's same way they should allocate a plethora of funds for teaching sciences instead of other subjects. I strongly agree that this idea will be more helpful for the country to become strong growth and development.

These days, with the advancement of intercontinental transportation, people are reaching the edges of the earth. Tourism is also on the high, with countries opening their borders for people.

Some people say that government should focus on reducing environmental pollution and housing problems to help people prevent illness and disease. To what extend do you agree or disagree?

It is true that the government should pay closer attention to environmental pollution and housing problems in order to prevent people from medical issues. From my personal angle alone, I believe tackling pollution and housing problems are indeed able to improve citizens’ health, yet other measures are also required to cope with people’s illness in the short term.

They believe that certain workers deserve to retire and receive a pension at an early age. Do you agree or disagree? Which type of workers do you think should benefit from early retirement?

Certain individuals think that the age of retirement should not be fixed for everyone, and they should have the flexibility to decide at which age they want to retire. In my opinion, I agree that there should be an option for everyone to choose at what age retirement should be taken, as the nature of the job and health condition differs for everyone.

The way people treat the elderly varies depending on the culture and tradition within a society. Some cultures tell children to look up their older generations as they are more experienced and knowledgeable, while others put younger generations in the centre of attention.

Certain individuals are of the opinion that structures such as libraries results in lavish spending of money and resources, thus, should be substituted for computers. Despite the academic heights and results that can be achieved with a computer, it cannot be compared with the additional benefits of using a library, hence computers should be incorporated in libraries rather than replacing them.

Nowadays for a fraction of the population, it is quite common to believe people visiting other countries should follow the behaviours and culture of the local citizens, while others believe this is not mandatory given hosts should be accepting cultural diversity. I will be discussing both and explain why I believe the later is the one that should be adopted as the norm.

More and more money is being spent on the conservation of the wildlife lately. The critics insist that the money should be spent rather on the people themselves. While I agree that more financial resources should be aimed at the needs of humans, it is still utmost important to continue financing natural habitat.
