There is no doubt that every parent wants their kids to grow up to become a good citizen. However, the responsibility of teaching the children has been subjected to lots of debate over the years. Some people think that teachers should play the major role in guiding the children while others argue that parents are more suitable for such an important role. In this essay, I will discuss both sides of the view and present by opinion accordingly.

It is widely held belief that some of the parents motivate their adolescents to stay away from them after being matured. But, at the same time there is a counter argument amongst some sections of the people that they should hold with their family even though they are aged. However, I am of the opinion that it is a matter to be debated in light of several factors before any conclusion is drawn.

However, while some people believe that History is the most important subject to learn, others argue that Science and Technology are more important to understand the evolution of our present day. In this essay I will discuss both sides of the argument and give my own opinion.

Food is crucial for our survival. These days, many consumers are eating food that has travelled thousands of miles away from their producers. Some people opine that it will be good for the environment if people only eat locally produced food. I agree with this view to a certain extent. In my opinion, consumption of local food will create jobs in the local economy and help the environment, but if people eat only locally produced food, they will have fewer choices.

Although it is thought by some that extramural classes should be attended by pupils, others believe that the children should have free periods to play sometimes. In my opinion, I believe children should have leisure time to play as this helps in the relaxation of mind and body.

To be labelled a ‘Work of Art’, a painting, sculpture or other art form should display certain qualities that are unique. However, over the past century there has been a decline in the quality of prize-winning artwork and it is now possible for quite ordinary pieces of art to be labelled ‘masterpieces ’ whilst true works of art pass unnoticed. Do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Some people suggest that the levels of artwork have been in a state of steady decline since the turn of the previous century. They argue that mundane pieces are considered extraordinary while awe inspiring items remain in complete obscurity. I tend to agree with the statement above.

We live in a world of technology these days, while the internet brings with it clear advantages, the problems in terms of control and security of information outweighs the advantages. To what extent do you agree?

At present, technology is widely used in different areas of our lives. Despite the obvious benefits of the internet, people are of the thought that the challenges regarding controlling and managing information outweigh the merits. In my opinion, I completely disagree that the problems in terms of control and security of information are more than its advantages.
