It is extremely normal for the British elderly to move to aged home care when they get to a certain point of their lives, as those facilities usually offer all the care, infra-structure and companionship they need. The government, with some exceptions to the rule, does not usually cover the costs of these people's home care. In my opinion, however, old citizens should be completely eligible for subsided aged care as they have already contributed to our society in several aspects.
