Formal examinations are the only effective way to assess a student's performance. Continual assessment such as course work and projects is not a satisfactory way to do this. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Students are evaluated on the basis of various forms of examination throughout their academics. It is argued that the traditional pattern of conducting exam is considered to be a reasonable method to figure out a student's ability whereas frequent tests which include assignments are not an ideal way. I somehow agree with the latter part of the argument however, both have their merits and demerits to some extent.

Violence in society increases when more violence is shown on television. To what extent do you agree or disagree?.

Television and the media play a vital role in developing the values and social behaviour of a person. In some recent years, the number of movies and TV shows involving violence has been increased significantly, which result in inhumanity in the community. I completely agree with the above statement. This essay will justify my opinion by quoting some relevant examples.

Every individual has the rights to ensure their safety and having social benefits from the government. Others may say that the officials should give more importance and raise the budget in security than spending lesser on social benefits for the citizens. I totally disagree with this notion, firstly it needs to give equal responsibility by the government as it has given importance to our society.

Most of the costumers nowaday's look for the price first before thinking if they will buy the product. Most stores sell products at a cheaper price even it is not good. I agree with this notion for two reasons, the person wanted the quality of the product and reliability.

It is believed that the urban landscape should have provisions for large airy spaces like parks and playgrounds. In my opinion, botanical parks and children playgrounds benefit society by improving their social, mental and physical health and therefore their construction should be considered by local authorities while designing a society.

Recently,there is an argument about youngsters should go to university to further their study meanwhile others believe that they should be convinced to run as a car mechanics or builder to serve society.From my perspective view, I strongly sympathize with the idea of having an extra education in college.

In this day and age, more and more contemporary attention has been placed on whether or not car ownership should be discouraged and the government should encourage people to utilize public transportation much more. In my opinion, I totally agree with this suggestion.

People nowadays are very particular about their personal information and like to keep it confidential. Nevertheless, it is a growing trend amongst employers to gather personal as well as professional information about their employees in order to develop a better understanding. Some are of the opinion that the idea of gathering data relating to the employee's marital status, their hobbies etc. by the employers is reasonable and fruitful while others do not confide in this. I also accord with this new approach.

The advancement of technology is seen in almost all part of human life. This has caused contrasting views, with some people believing that there is more profit to society if machines play substantial roles, and others arguing otherwise. I am inclined to agree with the latter, as heavy dependence on robots will lead to an inactive lifestyle, and also a high rate of unemployment is another problem that will be faced.
