As a non native English speaker student, firstly I can agree with the opinion that learning a foreign language is for studying abroad, or just for working in another country. It would be essential studying well before going there. I heard many news saying that tons of young students have spent their and their paren'ts money in learing a foreign language. The first reason I started to learn English was, like other students, actually getting higher scores in school and studying abroad later. However, as time goes by, I found it really intriguing to study a foreign language, which even made me decide to learn German. By getting to know a foreign language, people can think differently and also they could understand other cultures better because a language contains its nation people's point of view. And this is why I think that it would be more better to learn a foreign language even though they have no plans for going abroad.
