It is an undeniable fact that any organisation's true worth is known by the value of its human capital asset. A popular belief among a faction of the workforce is that the term spent by an employee with the organisation is the critical determinant of their career growth. However, there is another set of people who oppose the idea of tenure being the deterministic factor. In my opinion, meritocracy alone should be rewarded with promotion, irrespective of the length of association with the company.
