t is undeniable that reading is a main way to acquire knowledge, especially for young children, yet, some argue that other methods are even beneficial and effective. I firmly believe that delightful ways, such as sing, music and play based learning are enjoyable for teaching youngsters. In this essay, examples from the University of Toronto and UK Education Department are demonstrated below to prove my argument.

Some believe that advancement in communication systems such as the internet has narrowed our social connections, personally I disagree. It is often argued that educators have a greater responsibility in developing students’ cognitive and social aspects compared to parents. I absolutely agree with this notion, as teachers are well-trained to teach formal lessons. Aside from that, school is the best place for children to socialize and make more friends.

These days, no one would deny the importance of protecting the environment. But there is no consensus on how to achieve this end. Some people believe that social members should try to tolerate the changing climate rather than endeavour to make a difference. I find it really difficult to justify this argument.

It is often argued that tests measure a student's academic performance way more accurate than class projects and assignments do. Personally, I agree with this statement as I believe that exams do a better job in assessing course performance than projects.

In recent times, there is a marked increase in juvenile crimes. Some of them attribute this cause due to working mothers who find it hard to educate their kids, as women are employed and could not spend much time with their sons or daughters. I disagree with this notion, as it is worthless in putting the ball over to the entire working women's community. However, I have some reservations when I observe if working mothers are deviating from their child-rearing responsibilities.

Due to the advancement of the medical science, elderly citizens are on the increase and hence, their expenses to survive have also been increased. There is a portion of the society, who believes that, it is not the responsibility of the regime to facilitate older people financially for their survival, because, elders can collect the funds, when they are young. It is no doubt that at the present day, every country is providing a free health service to their citizens. However, some more countries like third world countries are not equipped with the latest treatments and methods. It is due to lack of latest medical apparatus and economic conditions.
