The desire of companies to emphasise their products’ newness is becoming more aggressive, reflecting consumer mindset and marketing ethics. While this can be positive, I believe that excessive advertising causes more negative consequences, including waste and the strengthening of the culture of disposable consumption.
Some people prefer friends who share their views, while others value friendships with people who think differently. I firmly believe that, although like-minded friends offer comfort and validation, it is more beneficial to have friends who challenge your ideas, as this fosters personal growth, broadens your perspective, and strengthens relationships.
Currently, careers such as doctors and engineers are crucial to society. Some people believe that these professionals should remain in their home country, while others support the idea of them working abroad if they choose. This essay will discuss both perspectives.
Some individuals believe that governments should focus on funding public services rather than on the arts. I firmly agree with the suggestion, as healthcare and education are essential for the well-being of society, and governments should prioritise these sectors to enhance the quality of life for citizens.
In contemporary times, automobiles have gained immense popularity in society due to their numerous pros in terms of mobility and saving time. On the contrary, some are of the opinion that owning them is disadvantageous in many aspects. This essay will highlight the merits and demerits of motor vehicles.
Education is regarded as essential for an individual's growth and prosperity, as it enables them to address the needs of their occupation. However, critics contend that practical skills learnt through experience are more valuable. According to them, people with the required skillset are more likely to be productive and effective in their roles. Despite this, I firmly believe that educated people are most valuable to society.
Proponents of studying history claim that it helps children make sense of their own cultural and social contexts. Knowledge of the past allows us to better understand modernity and, possibly, predict future trends by identifying recurring patterns of human behaviour. More historical literacy could encourage more politically educated decision-making, especially in an era of disinformation, manipulative rhetoric, and romanticisation of the past, which is characteristic of some political narratives. Nevertheless, it should be recognised that political preferences are formed not only by knowledge but also by emotional factors, personal identity, economic interests and media pressure. Thus, although history is not a panacea for all the problems, it nurtures civic awareness.
In today’s world, it is widely suggested that saving money for the future is a wise practice for everyone, regardless of age. As far as I am concerned, I completely agree with this notion, as it ensures financial security during hard times and makes one’s survival easier in any circumstances. This essay will detail the significance of implementing the aforementioned habit in daily life.
Few inhabitants consider it a great idea for elderly individuals to continue working if it is easy for them to do so. I agree with this notion and will discuss my views in the upcoming paragraphs.
Some individuals believe that advertisements are useful for people who watch television, while others argue that they offer little to no benefit. I personally disagree with the idea that advertisements serve a helpful purpose, as they often provide incomplete information and can negatively influence people’s decisions, especially in terms of health and safety.
The rapid growth of artificial intelligence (AI) and automation has sparked ongoing debate about the future of employment. While some people worry that these technologies will replace human workers, others believe they will open new doors for innovation and opportunity. In my opinion, although AI may lead to the loss of certain jobs, it will ultimately create more possibilities for human development.
Nowadays, many people aspire to live in an ideal society. While this vision is often imagined, it is rarely defined with clarity or specific characteristics. In my opinion, effective governance plays a crucial role in turning this vision into reality. In this essay, I will elaborate on the importance of good governance and provide relevant examples to support my view.
It is often argued that the education system focuses excessively on memorising facts rather than equipping students with practical skills. I strongly agree with this view, as I believe that while theoretical knowledge has its place, a greater emphasis should be placed on skills that can be directly applied in real-life situations.
In recent decades, there has been a pressing issue related to whether education is a more sustainable and long-term solution for crime prevention over the major method of punishment in most regions - imprisonment. Personally, I totally agree with this statement for some reasons mentioned in this essay.
In modern society, certain children are spending a considerable amount of time on their smartphones. I firmly believe that this is a negative development, as it exacerbates issues related to physical and psychological well-being, contributing to poor academic performance and a lack of social interaction. These two aspects are detailed in the following paragraphs.
Many individuals argue that arts like music and drawing do not have a direct impact on people’s quality of life and therefore, the government's funds should be allocated elsewhere. The essay will strongly disagree with the statement, as these kinds of hobbies help society to reduce stress and improve emotional well-being, moreover, it develops creative thinking.
Childhood obesity is a topic that has sparked debate over centuries, due to the prolific increase in its prevalence among modern society. Currently, a significant proportion of children are victims of obesity, which detrimentally impacts their health at present and in the future, inadvertently raising healthcare expenses. This essay will highlight the reasons and possible solutions to overcome this complication.
These days, more and more children are becoming overweight and facing health problems, especially in developed countries. Some people believe that the government should take responsibility for this issue. Personally, I partly agree with this view because while the government plays an important role, parents and schools should also share the responsibility.
The debate over a child’s academic development is a topic of ongoing discussion. Some people firmly believe that, when it comes to studying, parents have a greater influence on their children and, therefore, play a significant role in their academic success. Others are of the opinion that teachers act as the primary guides for students and have a more positive and constructive impact on their minds, thereby supporting their educational development. This essay will review both viewpoints before presenting my own opinion.
In today’s fast-paced world, Many individuals dedicate long hours to their jobs in order to afford luxurious goods and a higher standard of living. In my opinion, while material progress brings undeniable benefits, the erosion of cultural heritage is a significant demerit that shouldn’t be overlooked. This essay will support this view and reach a reasonable conclusion.
