Nowadays, more and more parents are inclined to homeschool their children instead of sending them to school. While some people believe that families have a right to choose whether to educate young family members at home or at school, I think that the latter option should be obligatory.
Educational success is a topic of ongoing debate. While some argue that excellent teaching is the key determinant of academic achievement, others believe that students' effort and motivation play a more crucial role. This essay will discuss both perspectives before presenting my opinion.
In many societies, healthcare and education are considered fundamental pillars for national development. While some people argue that it is the government’s duty to provide these essential services free of charge, others believe that individuals should take responsibility for their own needs in these areas. This essay will explore both perspectives before concluding with a personal viewpoint.
The right to strike has long been a contentious issue. While many argue that it is a fundamental human right that should be preserved regardless of occupation, others believe that certain professions are too critical to allow such disruptions. This essay will examine both perspectives before explaining why, in my view, some job roles should indeed be exempt from this right.
Travelling abroad is now easier than in the past, which has led some people to worry about its impact on the environment and argue that international flights should be restricted. I strongly agree with this idea, as the increase in flights contributes to air pollution, and many tourists cause damage in local areas.
In recent years, transportation preferences have evolved differently across various cities. In some places, cars are becoming more popular, while in others, bicycles are increasingly replacing cars. These contrasting trends are influenced by multiple factors, including infrastructure, public policies, environmental awareness, and economic conditions.
In recent years, the issue of shopping online has emerged as a significant concern for the general public. While some individuals contend that developing innovative shopping makes it more convenient and flexible, others argue that it does not support customers much. The following essay will examine these perspectives before giving a personal opinion.
In recent years, the advent of online shopping has sparked considerable debate among the public. While some individuals view digital retail as a breakthrough that enhances convenience and flexibility, others argue that it introduces complications and fails to fully support consumers. This essay will examine both perspectives before presenting a personal opinion.
In a time of global competition, brain drain is a worrying threat. On the flip side, some take a more globalised stance, focusing on international success. Governments are looking toward policy to determine how best to retain expertise — should the law restrict workers to the country of their training? Whether professionals must stay in the country of their training or not is thus a widely contentious issue. I strongly argue that job restrictions create substantial disadvantages that are outweighed by the benefits of allowing professionals the choice of where to work. The right to choose a workplace helps international exchange between and within countries, and promotes workers' autonomous rights and growth, whereas limitation circumscribes advancement.
In recent years, environmental preservation has emerged as a pressing global concern. While it is often argued that the responsibility for protecting the environment lies primarily with governments, I strongly believe that individual actions are equally essential in addressing this multifaceted issue. This essay will explore both viewpoints before presenting a well-founded conclusion.
Over the past three decades, car ownership has surged dramatically, leading many urban areas to suffer from chronic congestion. In some cities, the situation has become so severe that it is not an exaggeration to describe them as “one big traffic jam.”
In today's digital era, the internet has changed how people communicate. Some people believe that although it is convenient, it has made people more isolated because they do not meet face to face as often. However, I agree with those who think the internet actually brings people closer by allowing real-time communication, even when they are far apart.
In today’s consumer-driven society, it is increasingly common for young people to spend substantial amounts of money on designer brands and high-end gadgets, often without genuine need. I completely agree with the view that much of this spending is unnecessary and largely influenced by social trends and marketing rather than practicality or value.
Some people believe that the working week should be shortened and the weekend extended to promote better work-life balance. Even though this idea may seem appealing at first, I mostly disagree. Reducing the number of workdays could lower the company's productivity and undermine professional discipline by disrupting established routines and long-term focus.
In today’s society, unhealthy cooking and sugary drinks have become more popular and widely available than ever before. Some believe that the government should place higher taxes on these products to promote better eating habits. I completely agree with this idea because it can reduce overconsumption and help fund public health efforts.
It is true that the attitude of pupils in some parts of the world has significantly deteriorated in recent years. While there are several reasons behind the trend particularly related to overly permissive parenting, insufficient teacher preparation, and the negative influence of celebrities, with targeted action from parents, educators, and public figures, it is possible to improve student conduct and create more conducive learning environments.
Many people believe that global environmental issues, such as climate change and pollution, can only be solved through cooperation between countries. I completely agree with this view because international collaboration leads to more effective policies and ensures shared responsibility.
Some people believe that working in the same organisation throughout one’s career provides greater job stability and professional growth. However, I agree with those who argue that working in different organisations is more beneficial, as it offers broader experience and increases adaptability in an ever-changing job market.
In the modern era, the rapid development of air travel and telecommunications has significantly improved international contact. As a result, people around the world are now more connected than ever before, largely due to tourism and international business. In my view, this increased interaction brings more advantages than disadvantages to societies across the globe.
In an era when our network of information is so advanced that news can travel at the speed of light, some people hold the view that the broadcasting industry focuses solely on negative news rather than positive advancement and this might bring harmful effects to individuals and society as a whole. From my personal perspective, I totally agree with this idea and the reason will be explained in the following paragraphs.
