In many societies, it is common for young adults to leave the parental home in their early twenties, while in others, staying with family until a later age is widely accepted. Although prolonged cohabitation with parents may limit independence to some extent, I strongly believe that the advantages of young people living with their parents for longer outweigh the disadvantages, particularly in today’s economic and social context.
