ILETS WRITING 2 - OPINION Essay Too much emphasis is given for the education of students. More government money should be spent on free time activities for young people. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

There is ongoing debate about whether governments should shift their focus from academic funding to recreational activities for the youth. While formal learning is undeniably critical for individual and societal progress, I believe a balanced approach is necessary. Thus, I partially agree that additional government resources should support leisure pursuits, but not at the expense of educational investments.

While it is thought by some that historic structures must be maintained, there are others who argue that they should be torn down. In my opinion, I consider that historic structures ought to be safeguarded if they can bring advantages, but if they cause issues, they should be razed. 49

Admitting that there is always the other side of the coin of the advantages and disadvantages, the answer varies from person to person. All in all, I agree that staying in one company is a better decision throughout our careers. There are two reasons to support my idea, as follows.

It is argued that the extinction of species of flora and fauna are important environmental problems, while others think that other environmental issues require more attention. Although the loss of species is affecting our ecosystem, I believe that climate change and pollution are more pressing as they are directly connected to the extinction of species.

In recent years, the number of criminals has increased significantly in many regions, especially in metropolitan areas such as London, Sydney, and Jakarta. Some argue that imprisoning criminals is not an effective solution, while others believe that education and job training should be provided as an alternative. I firmly believe that education and job training play a crucial role in rehabilitating offenders. Through education, criminals can be exposed to new, positive ideas that promote personal growth and character development. Additionally, job training offers them practical skills and a sense of purpose, which can significantly reduce their inclination to re-offend.

I strongly support this approach, because cars with renewable energy are more environmentally friendly and also foster economic development.

As a comprehensive ageing society looms, the pros and cons of employing the elderly if their fitness allows have become a hot topic. From my perspective, on the one hand, this tendency will alleviate the financial pressure resulting from society's ageing; on the other hand, it to some degree deprives the elderly of the right to accompany their families.

The most disturbing one in Australia is the upward trend of childhood obesity, and now, the necessary approach to combating it has become a debate among citizens. While a lot of individuals suggest that the responsibility of monitoring school children's diet should be on the school, however, I totally disagree with this take because I believe that parents should be in total control of how a child is raised when it comes to their diets.
