In today’s bustling urban environments, road safety remains a perennial concern for both policymakers and the general public. While some argue that reducing speed limits is the most effective means of curbing traffic accidents, others contend that addressing underlying infrastructural issues is paramount for ensuring long-term safety. In my view, although lowering speed limits can offer immediate benefits by mitigating the severity of collisions, a comprehensive strategy focused on improving road infrastructure and enhancing driver education is essential to achieving sustainable safety improvements.
