These days, a significant debate has been sparked between people who advocate that products which contain a huge amount of sugar should be more expensive and others who believe that it is not appropriate to restrict people’s choices in this way. This essay will discuss both sides and explain why I agree with the latter statement and consider raising costs is not sufficient to deal with this issue.
There is an ongoing debate regarding whether the government should shoulder the costs of healthcare and education or if individuals should be held responsible for their own expenses. I firmly believe that these fundamental services should be funded by the state, as they are essential human rights, despite the financial challenges that may arise in doing so.
