Other people believe that it is important for children to make decisions about matters that affects them. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

The children of today have a greater freedom of choice than ever before. This has led to a discussion regarding the benefits of this phenomenon wherein, some voices advocate the importance of decision making from a young age, especially on matters pertaining to their lives. However, an opposing belief is that it will lead to these children growing up to be individualistic and self centred adults. This essay will discuss both view points and conclude with an opinion.

Although it is known that modern technology makes individuals more sociable, it is also considered that it makes them less communicative. In my opinion, modern technology tends to influence people in a positive way, thus, they improve their communication skills for the reasons provided below.

University education is important to an individual, as well as to national development. Certain demography believes that undergraduates should apply themselves to courses they prefer, while others want them to study only future-relevant subjects. Although, this essay will discuss both views, I believe that university students should be given the opportunity to choose their line of career.

Some people believe that vehicles that burn fossil fuels should be taken over by those that operate on electric batteries. I agree with this view, and this essay will discuss the reasons, which includes being environmentally friendly, as well as promoting clean energy.

It has been claimed that like smoking, mobile phones should be banned in some places due to their harmful effects. While I accept that the use of mobile phones is antisocial in some ways, I believe it has more benefits and therefore should not be prohibited.

Many educational establishments such as schools and universities are choosing to assess their students through course work and projects undertaken during term time rather than the traditional examinations. Continual assessment can be an effective way to evaluate student’s abilities, but formal examinations should also be maintained.

A lot of people believe that organizing a global sports event is very useful to the hosting country. Although some may argue that expending money on such events is a waste, I strongly believe that any country will economically benefit from hosting them.

At present, International tourism is considered the biggest source of income in the world. However, global touring creates more conflicts rather than harmony between people from different background. In my opinion, I disagree that international tourism generates more troubles between people from different background as it will greatly benefit both individual and countries.

While some people think that employee should be involved in business decisions, others argue that these decisions should be left to the people in key positions. In my opinion, I believe that its better for the company when decisions are taken by higher management because they have a better understanding and access to information about the company.

People have a diverse opinion on arranging splendid parties during birthday, wedding, and other celebrations. Consequently, some would argue, that disbursing massive amounts on parties would undoubtedly be a waste of money, whereas others claim that is essential for both individuals and the community. In my opinion, I consider that spending lots on parties would directly or indirectly help to curb the unemployment rate and foster economic prosperity.

It is commonly argued that the primary goal of every employee is to focus on his/her job duties, while being on good terms with colleagues is not crucial. Although I agree that being productive at work is more important than trying to befriend all colleagues, I think that it is advantageous to have at least a few friends in the workplace.

Vegetarianism is becoming more and more popular for many people, particularly because of the harm that some people believe meat can cause to the body. However, I strongly believe that it is not necessary for everybody to be a vegetarian.

Health, education and trade are considered a key for developing the underprivileged countries and it is the responsibility of government of richer nations to improve these three sections of nations that are poor. I partially agree with this statement and this essay will support my opinion.

It is argued by some people that the most important way to solve traffic congestion and pollution is to increase the price of fuel. I agree with this notion because a fuel hike would make the daily use of personal cars on roads unattractive, while the development of public transportation system is another effective way to solve this problem.

It is often argued that the government should finance public services instead of spending its budget on arts, music and theatre. Although I agree that government’s investments in public services play a very important role, I think that proper funding of arts sector is also crucial for the society.
