IELTS Opinion Writing Samples Band 8.5
Most of them say, that the rate at which the global population grows is becoming unmanageable and would potentially lead to major issues at the world level. At the same time, a minority of them mention, that it is needed, as it would help in global economic and societal development. In this essay, I am going to delve into details on both sides and put forth my say on this one.
With urbanisation, the population in the cities is growing fast and so is the housing crisis, which brings along with it lots of other problems. Some argue that only government is the appropriate authority to deal with this rising problem. I strongly agree with this argument as the government can solve this growing issue by various steps, such as restricting the new landed residential housing by encouraging vertical apartment buildings and gradually expanding the city.
Recently, governments all over the world started to put more effort into preventive measures than curative ones. I completely agree with these directives as it saves lives and cost less.
Currently, despite the many drawbacks of our world, a myriad of people are considering this contemporary epoch to be the best of its kind. Personally, I agree to a large extent with this concept. However, not everyone does as there are many more interesting historical eras that should be considered. Thus, the underlying factors of this contention as well as my intuition will be further explained.
They say you fail because your wish to win is not strong enough. I disagree with this statement, and in the following paragraphs, I’ll explain my take on it.
I believe that there is a group of people who would prefer the upward development of the city. In my point of view, I totally agree with this statement and the essay shall discuss both sides of the argument.
So many countries nowadays use recyclable shopping bags like paper or cloth, this has reduced pollution caused by plastics. A lot of nations, however, are reluctant to adopt these means despite the detrimental effects of plastic shopping packs on nature. I agree that a ban should be placed on them.
Opinions are divided on whether the aged or fresh workforce is beneficial for an entity. In my opinion, both types of employees have their own importance. Hence, the elderly and young workers are equally significant for the success of a corporation.
People usually come across bad accounts which as wars, famines and crime ,especially on social media. Recent research suggests that feeding bad advice on main channels or on home pages can be detrimental. I think, most individuals are taken attention by interesting events or competition between opposite humans, therefore it catches their eye easily. At the same time, the bad announcements should be shown as well as good reports.
It is sometimes argued that the most proper time to live on the Earth is now. Although there are many advantages of living in this period of time, I do believe that living in the last century is more appropriate. In this essay, I will discuss both programs.
Advertisement plays a vital role in the success of companies which introduces numerous products to the public. Others opine that it will immensely help to increase the maximum sales quota, however, some are ignoring ads since it is just an ordinary matter. I will discuss both my views and opinion in the ensuing paragraphs.
Animals are believed by some to hold importance to humans while others do not. The meat of an Animal, for example, any herbivore is mostly being fed to provide individuals with protein and while this is good, some individuals are of the opinion that these animals should be allowed to walk around freely without having to be prey. In my opinion, the meat these creatures provide helps build the human body and therefore, they are beneficial to the world. nonetheless, they should be taken care of and not maltreated
Overall in the world lot of people struggle with their health because they consume too much unhealthy food. The government seems to believe that maybe is good if increase the number of taxis for those unhealthy meals to protect its citizens from them. In my opinion, I, total agree with this statement and I will try to explain in my essay why I think so.
The ability to speak a foreign language fluently may be considered a priority nowadays. Therefore, it is said in this regard that both social and practical issues could emerge while residing in a country where a different tongue needs to be spoken, a perspective which I completely support given the inherent difficulties involved in such a scenario.
Nowadays, there is a controversy surrounding the issue of giving homework to school children. While some people consider that young people should not be burdened by extra workload, many teachers argue that this method is indispensable for students' education. In my opinion, there are always two sides of a coin that should be carefully considered.
It is often argued that it is unhealthy for those people who are living in large metropolitans. In my opinion, I totally agree with this point of view because the pollution and the uncertain quality of foods in big cities may cause many severe health issues.
The atmosphere of the educational environment has changed, some people think it is important for students to ask questions instead of listening in class. Conversely, the others argue that this could lead to a lack of discipline during the courses.
Today's era is called the digital era due to the continuous advancement of digital solutions and technologies. Some people expound that offline stores will be closed permanently in case online shopping will increase at the same rate. However, I partially disagree with this opinion. In the paragraphs to follow, I shall put forward my view on the topic.
There is no denying the fact that environmental destruction is mainly based on the extensive usage of motor transport that causes atmosphere pollution and other hazards which have adverse effects on human fitness. I firmly believe and withstand the given view. This essay will further elaborate on my views in the upcoming paragraphs.
The idea that, whether the government should construct free libraries or not, remains a source of controversy. In this disquisition, I will explicate both stances before presenting my consensus on the former opinion.
