There are several factors to consider when channelling awareness. Public interest and celebrity involvement can play a factor in successful events involving raising awareness. Social media is an effective method many nonprofits use to help raise awareness about global poverty. A scientific study revealed that 47% of those surveyed were able to learn about important causes such as global poverty through social media. Moreover, it showed that 15% gained an awareness of ending poverty through social media. This means we can notify millions of people about poverty and hunger together we can contribute to decreasing it effectively.
