Born and bred in China, I have a keen interest in the culture, history, and economy of this land. Therefore, I choose to study cultural industry and aspire to become an outstanding professor and researcher of cultural industry in China in the new millennium. My purpose in pursuing a Ph.D. degree in the University of King's College London, UK, is to gain a higher level of both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in this field. My main interest, among the concentrations of your Ph.D. program of the culture, media and creative industries, is in modern cultural industry project management.

Using plastic bags is increasing day by day .Undoubtedly, it is the matter of grave concern as plastic is detrimental to the environment. I ,strongly, favors complete ban of its usage.

Some of the local languages are becoming extinct. What are the advantages and disadvantages?

To date, the globalization has brought a radical change on the way how humans live and communicate. As people prefer to speak the international languages rather than their mother tongues, part of vernaculars are facing the possibility of extinction. Some people suggest that the interaction among human beings can be benefited by less languages, while others argue that this can have adverse influence to the whole communities. The idea of both sides with my own opinion together will be further discussed and elaborated in this essay.

The world as it is today relies heavily on technology. Some say that environmental issues will be not be solved by the use of modern technology. While some believe that technology might solve most the crucial environmental problems the world is facing today, I for one agree with this statement.

It is true that languages are diminishing with time. Although some people argue that this does not have any significance, in my opinion languages are extremely valuable and their existence matters.

A growing number of parents resort to purchasing numerous toys in order to keep their children occupied. While such trend can enhance youngsters’ learning skills and independency, it contributes to decreased communication skills and materialism amongst them.

In some countries, there are many social problems involving teenagers. Some people say this is because parents spend much of their time at work and not at home, do you agree or disagree?

First of all, it is understandable that some people blame parents who have a hectic life due to their a lot of work because they think young students need parents' help. In a busy parents' point of view, however they want to spend their days with kids, they would have no option, but just have to work all day long. There are some possibilities that if pupils have to be alone for a long time at home, they could be bored and they would pursue more provoking things, which can make social problems in the end.

Advertistment invades almost every facet of our life. Many people believe that it is slowly corrupting our moral values and negatively affect everyone's lives. However, I disagree with such sentiment and believe that advertising overall brings more goods than harm.

There are several instances, in some countries, where the earnings of renowned people have exceeded as compared to senior leaders. In my opinion, it is a positive development as with the increase in the fame of celebrities many are opting for philanthrophy.

Nowadays,majority of people tend to go for their higher education in institutions like a university or a college. Some people believe that students should have their liberty to study subjects that they are interested in while others disagree with it and I personally believe that they should have freedom to pick subjects within prescribed syllabus, not whatever they like.

The variation of the new technology in the world. It gains more communication in human to be closer. However, it might destroy the culture difference. In my opinions, the pros are more than the cons of the technological development. I strongly disagree with this statement.
