it is controversial that increasing prison sentences is an effective way to reduce the crime in a nation, while others insist that there are many better alternative solutions to decrease this epidemic. In my opinion, I agree both sides and I am going to give reasons in this essay.

Working longer hours is getting more common in today’s society. I personally believe that this trend not only has a severe impact on the workers themselves, but also on their families and the community as a whole. Therefore, I totally agree with the idea of limiting working hours.

Sport competitions are not scarcely seen in almost all schools for the time being. While the rivalry that is believed to induce cooperation is advocated, opponents claim that they merely result in fierce competition among students. From my perspectives, I do believe the significant importance of sport games in building up positive competition as well as team work skills.

Some students prefer to live with their family when pursuing tertiary education, others; however, believe that it is better to accommodate independently than relying on their parents. As from my perspective, living in the same house with our parents is a better option for the students when studying at the university; nevertheless, the other option is also an appropriate choice for those scholars.

A bulk of people believe that historical knowledge is among the most fundamental subjects at school, others, however, opine that spheres associated with science and technology are more essential than the former. As from my perspective, the propensity for science and technology subject valuing is more optimal than its historical counterpart in the contemporary world.

Crime is an issue of increasing concern around the world, and more money than ever before is being spent on the detection and punishment of criminal activity. The reasons why people commit crime are countless, but drugs and alcohol, social problems and poverty play a major role. To solve these problems, governments can either focus on draconian punishments, or improve employment opportunities, invest in good housing projects and tackle drug and alcohol abuse.

While many advocates that world history topics should be more focused, other present arguments put forward in favor of the history of their homeland. Road safety is major topic of concern in today’s society. Although I accept that punishing those who violate traffic laws severely is an important means of protecting road users, I contend that this is not the only way, as there are several other solutions to implement.
