Running parallel with the development of society, the cost of food has been considerably brought down thanks to the development of chemicals and machinery.Nonetheless, these methods take a heavy toll on not local communities, in conjunction with people’s health. This essay aims to elaborate on both sides and express the writer's opinion that its drawbacks overshadow its benefits.

Environmental problems are increasing day by day in many parts of the world. In my perspective, fulfilling human needs and desires is important, but one should not ignore the safety of habitat as well.

Recently, the female population has been making a great contribution to the defence department. People tend to work longer hours nowadays. Working long hours has a negative effect on themselves, their families and the society, so working hours should be restricted. Do you agree or disagree?

To individuals, working for longer hours triggers at least two issues. It is not only to damage personal relationship, particularly with family, disrupt social lives and impede communicate activities, but also to cause a feeling of depression, a psychological disturbance that is suffered by many job holders. It also tends to exert pressure on the employment market and make fewer job vacancies. The highest proportion of unemployment is expected to cause even higher stress for people in the labour force.

Nowadays, with the fast-growing economy of some major cities in the world, more and more modern buildings are being erected to accommodate the burgeoning population that economic growth brings. However, there has been debate over whether local governments or construction companies should be responsible for the design of buildings. This essay discusses both sides of this contentious argument and then I will give my own perspective.

Some people believe that the attachment of photos along with news articles are not a proper method while others think that it is essential. It is indeed true that the celebrities of cinema and sports fraternities are the role models of the youth. These public figures do have innumerable merits, along with some hurdles. If I asked, I believe that the celebs have manifold advantages then the troubles; my supporting arguments are discussed further.

Some people suggest that music is a vital way in terms of connecting people with different cultures and ages. I partly agree with this idea as I believe that although music can be seemed as a very effective way in linking people together, sometimes it can also fail to connect people with different background due to many reasons.

A lot of small businesses have been closing down because of their inability to compete with large shopping malls. There are some reasons for these problems, namely more convenient, high quality of facilities and better services. In my opinion, the local government should be more strict about pricing and the small shop should use the new way of selling goods.
