Advertising has become an integral part of modern society and influences people in many aspects of their daily lives. While some people believe that advertisements have a detrimental impact on individuals by encouraging unnecessary consumption and materialistic behaviour, others argue that they provide useful information and improve people's quality of life. Although both viewpoints have their own merits, I believe that the advantages of advertising outweigh its disadvantages when it is properly regulated. This essay will discuss both perspectives before explaining the reasons behind my opinion.
