IELTS Opinion Writing Samples Band 8.5
Media has always been a bridge between national events and people.Some people opine that in the present day , it is concentrating more on issues and critical emergencies leaving the positiveness.In this context, they also say that this may give a bad influence on the people around and also to the community. I really see a point in it and readily agree to it. Through this essay, I would discuss the given statement , give my opinion, and then conclude it.
Teenage is a crucial stage of life ,as one starts forming habits which will be with him throughout life.Hence, a few are of the opinion that gifting them with some amount may make teens feel happy as they can do anything with it, whereas others feel that this is not a good idea . In my opinion, sometimes these teenagers should be presented with some amount to buy their needs ,other times they should be gifted something special. In this essay, I would discuss both views along with my opinion and conclude.
Some people hold the belief that currently handwriting is not actual and it is not beneficial in the modern world and this type of writing should be eliminated from schools. From my point of view, handwriting has various drawbacks on several occasions this is not beneficial, nevertheless, handwritten work should definitely be accepted at schools because of several reasons.
It is obvious that celebrities are one of the most important figures for all over the world. As they are being wondered and attracted by the public, media organs follow them to catch up with the updates about them. There are some advantages and drawbacks for this view that is going to be discussed below.
Several individuals think that digital communication is a convenient way to get connected with each other. Others counter-argue that meeting in-person is crucial in this hectic life. In my opinion, both the ways are required as per an individual's preference.
Nowadays, human has started to forget about the importance of the past because of the development of modern technologies. Some people believe that history should be considered as one of the essential subjects at school while the component claims that time should be spent on other matters like science and technology. In this essay, I will analyze both opinions before arriving at a reasoned conclusion.
It is considered by some people that further planning and thinking about the future is just a vain attempt and people ought to spend their life fully at the moment. I disagree with this notion and believe that planning and thinking are beneficial in terms of getting success and confronting plights in the forthcoming future.
In recent years, environmental issues have been a popular subject debated in almost every part of the civilised world. A growing number of people have the opinion that the most important issue is the disappearance of species from the animal and plant reigns, while others argue that there are other subjects that need attention. My opinion is that problems like global warming and the melting of the permafrost layer are more urgent, therefore, governments and environmentalists should concentrate on these matters instead.
In the modern world, it is argued that undergraduates should be given the opportunity to study in any unit regardless of their sex. I do agree with the above statement and I will explain why throughout this essay.
The argument that students' textbooks should be replaced by electronic books on tablets is both supported and refuted by many. In my opinion, even though digital technologies appear as a suitable learning tool for students, there are still indisputable advantages to continue using printed books since they do not distract students from the educational process and do not contribute to serious health problems as well as tablets do.
Since the last few decades, there is a widespread internet addiction among people. Therefore, some people contend that electronic gamification is vital for youngsters which makes them skilful, whereas others have a contradictory viewpoint and consider the games a wastage of time. In this essay, I will discuss both sides of the arguments in a detail along with my personal preference as I also take a view that, for teenagers, games are the waste of time.
Some people believe that it is better for children to read storybooks other than watching TV or playing computer games. In my opinion, I moderately disagree with this point of view, This essay will argue why sometimes watching TV and playing computer games are good for young generations to do in their leisure time.
Learning through television program is one of the effective methods for the young, and advocates for it state that watching TV should be encouraged at home and school. I partly agree with the above statement since children do gain more knowledge through programs, but this method should not be promoted as a highly useful way in education.
In today's world technology is evolving at a rapid pace and is being utilized to aid our learning as well. While e-learning is being used more commonly today, some people argue that remote learning will be the only mode of education in the coming future and traditional learning will no longer be practised. As well, there are others, who feel face-to-face learning can never be replaced. Let us discuss both these views and why I feel that the traditional system is here to stay.
There is a widespread opinion that people nowadays face too many choices to make in their everyday lives. I completely disagree with this statement and, in my opinion, despite the fact that it is argued that the consumerism is the new ideology of 21st century, I am convinced that the current level of well-being characterized by the tremendous range and availability of different products and services is the enormous achievement of the human race so far.
Some people put a heavy emphasis on the present moment, thus they do not value learning from the past. I strongly disagree with this view. I think many lessons can be learnt by looking back to the past.
Been outside at the late hours of the night for youths is a controversial topic. While some people think that the government should limit teens’ going out in dark, others claim that such a restriction is an attack on personal freedom. In my opinion, I strongly believe that after a certain time from the evening teenagers’ circulation should be controlled because it’s not safe and lawbreakers can easily manipulate them.
Nowadays people opt more to eat ready-made food from a restaurant rather than a healthy homemade dish. However, in my opinion, it is always better to consume self-cooked meals because it is rich in nutrition and the outside foods are expensive.
It is often said to be of extreme importance to get married before turning 30. I strongly disagree that such a conception is right and that neither it has any positive impacts on either individuals or society whatsoever.
There is a contentious argument over whether individuals should be prohibited talking on the phone in bustling places or not. This essay will examine both points of views and then I will explain why I believe that people must avoid to do it in public places.
