Formal exams are included in many education systems across the countries to assess students' abilities. This is often done by the end of a semester when the students are being tested on all of the materials that they learned in the previous 6 months. Although it is true that most exams occur only once or twice a year. Yet, there are many other mini-assignments that usually students have to go through during the semester period.

Many people hold the view that plastic bags should be prohibited because they cause a lot of environmental problems. However, replacement plastic bags can be a hard and impossible issue, so I think plastic bags should not be banned.

There are a lot of countries where children work in different half-time jobs. Some people believe part-time work is on behalf of the children as they can learn real-life earlier while others think this situation can negatively affect the youngster`s psychology. I believe that the disadvantages of this trend vastly outweigh the advantages.

Some individuals are of the belief that there is no connection between news and the majority of people's life, accordingly spending time on the press such as reading newspapers and watching the news on TV is a waste. This is a viewpoint with which I partially disagree for a number of justifications.

In this gender equality era, there's still some myth in the society that male is genetically more competitive than female. However, in my opinion, competitiveness is not related to any of human's sex. Historically, many women have achieved some highest acknowledgements from the world, so do the men. Thus, this essay is going to try to prove, that anyone can achieve something through perseverance and an equal (not gender-biased) chance.

it is often advocated that the leadership of a country holds the supreme power in its hands to be able to change society for the better and get rid of all its cons. However, this view is flawed in my opinion as I believe that without the cooperation of every individual, there is only so much the government can do for society’s betterment. The government can make strong policies and can mobilise resources for their execution, but the policy only yields the desired results when it is acted upon by all members of society. If the policy has been set in place, but no one acts in accordance with it, then it will never be able to achieve its stated primary objective. For instance, of late, many countries have come up with policies aligned with the goal of achieving lower carbon emissions by 2025. Advanced technologies provoke the incremental population who work from a distance nowadays. Despite some downsides derived from such trends, such as procrastination at work; and less communication in teams, I personally agree that the merits of working from cyber outweigh the disadvantages.

It is sometimes argued that tourists from overseas should be charged more than local residents to visit important sites and monuments. I completely disagree with this idea. The argument in favour of higher prices for foreign tourists would be that cultural or historical attractions often depend on state subsidies to keep them going, which means that the resident population already pays money to these sites through the tax system. However, I believe this to be a very shortsighted view. Foreign tourists contribute to the economy of the host country with the money they spend on a wide range of goods and services, including food, souvenirs, accommodation and travel. The governments and inhabitants of every country should be happy to subsidise important tourist sites and encourage people from the rest of the world to visit them.
