Environmental problems have gripped many headlines for recent years. Due to the selfishness of humans, the environment is tremendously influenced. Thus, a large number of species are on the verge of extinction and biodiversity can be lost. This essay will consider the main causes and propose some possible solutions to solve this problem.

In this modern-day, advertisements are appearing in every corner of our life. Some people argue that commercials might bring worthless purposes or even detrimental to communities; therefore, we should ban all forms of advertisement. I partly agree that authorities should not completely refuse all types of advertising.

It is an undeniable fact that any organisation's true worth is known by the value of its human capital asset. A popular belief among a faction of the workforce is that the term spent by an employee with the organisation is the critical determinant of their career growth. However, there is another set of people who oppose the idea of tenure being the deterministic factor. In my opinion, meritocracy alone should be rewarded with promotion, irrespective of the length of association with the company.

It is not uncommon that children nowadays gain knowledge or entertain themselves by reading books and playing computer games or watching TV. A certain extent I agree that reading books is a useful way for children’s development. However, I would argue that watching television or play computer games also play an equally important role in their life.

Email, which is a new technological invention, has made contact more convenient and less expensive, so written letters have already become less popular. To a certain extent, I agree that the email is a useful tool in communication in the modern world; however, I believe that letter writing will not ever disappear.

Some people believe that zoos should be closed because animals are exploited there, while I would argue that they help in protecting the rare species and thus they are useful; however there should be a regular official inspection to keep a check on cruel behaviour.

I agree with the statement that relatives and peripherals give certain impact on child development.
