News editors decide what to broadcast on television and what to print in newspapers. What factors do you think influence these decisions? Do we become used to bad news? Would it be better if more good news was reported? Discuss. (Cambridge IELTS 1).

Certain types of information are separated in different platforms, television and newspapers, by news copyreaders. Personally, I believe the news agencies select data according to the target groups in each platform. It seems like we see tremendous terrible news regularly in everyday life on these platforms and become used to it. However, this essay strongly thinks that bad news would affect and influence society better than good news because it could help people have more awareness in their lives.

1.Tourism is an ever-growing industry. What benefits do you think tourism brings to individuals and society?

Visiting different places is a part of tourism which is growing significantly all over the world. Hence , it brings a lot of benefits not only for human beings but also for society. I will explain some profitable points in further paragraphs.

Traffic and housing problems could be solved by moving large companies, factories and their employees to the countryside. Do you agree or disagree ?

It is acknowledged that businesses and their facilities should be relocated to the countryside so that traffic congestion and housing shortages are solved immediately. From my perspective, I agree with this notion, however I believe that there are other several effective measures to overcome this problem of traffic and house for residents.

Many doctors recommend that older people exercise regularly, but most patients do not follow an exercise routine. Why do you think this happens? How can people be encouraged to exercise regularly?

In hospitals, moderate physical exercise is suggested to elderly people now, while most patients do not adopt the advice from doctors. In this essay, I will elaborate on the reasons behind such a phenomenon and suggest some possible solutions for the encouragement of regular exercise.

Some people believe that it is good to share as much information as possible in scientific research, business and the academic world. others believe that some information is too important or too valuable to be shared freely. discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Nowadays, there is competition between high laboratories of research to find more discoveries and devise new theories. Some educated people believe that important information should be not available for everyone, however, another group thinks that science is free for everybody. It seems to me that they both have a right in their opinion but with some conditions.

Some people believe that allowing children to make their own choices on everyday matters (food, clothes and entertainment) is likely to result in a society of individuals who only think about their own wishes. Other believe that it is important for children to make decisions about matters that affect them. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

It is true that early life education contributes greatly to a child personality, including the practices of making decisions on their own. While I believe being independent of making decisions may induce some traits of narcissism, I believe the benefits of early cognition of personal judgements outweigh the drawbacks.

Some people think it is one of the best ways to solve environmental problems by increasing the cost of fuel for cars and other vehicles. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

In the concurrent world, air pollution is a really huge problem on our planet. Some people say that it can be attributed to the utilization of fossil fuels. When you burn it, it can create carbon dioxide, and this is the main reason that leads to global warming. While they also claim that as long as we have increased the price of conventional ones, we can obviously solve these issues. To me, I totally agree with this. This essay is going to discuss why it is and my own opinions.

Some people believe that unpaid community service should be a compulsory part of high school programmes (for example working for a charity, improving the neighbourhood or teaching sports to younger children) To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Some people argue that unpaid community service should be made mandatory in high schools. I completely agree with this point of view because doing this service helps children become more confident and also creates opportunities for them to discover goals in life.

IN some countries, owning a home rather than renting one is very important for people. Why might this be the case? do you think this is a positive or negative situation?

Some people believe that it is better to own a house rather than rent. I strongly agree with this idea. IN this essay, I will explain how homeownership gives you greater freedom, joy and security than rent.

In modern society, there is a wide range of lifestyles. One of the trends is that people spend a huge amount of time celebrating special occasions. As far as I am concerned, this is a positive aspect in terms of building relationships and preserving their culture.

Protecting the environment is responsibility of government Do you agree or disagree with the statement ?

Global warming is affecting all of the humans on earth and we all are evidently responsible for this disaster. The leading party of the country is not the only entity responsible for this, and thus they are not the only ones who should be accountable to handle this crisis. The big companies should take part by making their company eco friendly, also on a personal level, we should recycle and reuse products we can.

Some people believe that it us best to accept a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory job or storage of money. Other argue that it is better to try and improve such situations. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Nowadays, there are two types of reactions when people face a bad situation such as having a bad job or storage of money. The first type is to accept them while the second type is to try and improve this situation. This essay discusses both sides and will give my own opinion.

Nowadays it is more important to plant trees in open spaces in towns and cities than building houses. To what extent do you agree or disagree.

On the matter concerning urban planning, opinion is divided as to whether or not attention is focused more on open landscapes rather than erecting structures. While some people argue that it is better to have residential buildings, I believe the importance of securing a serine environment with aesthetic natural beauty supersedes.

Some people believe that children should not be given homework everyday, while others believe they must get homework everyday in order to be successful at school. Discuss both sides and give your opinion

on the matter regarding academic excellence, opinion is divided on whether the school child is given daily homework. While some argue otherwise, I believe that engaging the pupil frequently with assignments is beneficial as this will improve understanding and interest in such subjects as well as enhance the time for other productive works

Some people choose to eat no meat or fish. They believe that this is not only better for their own health but also benefits the world as a whole. Discuss the view and give your own opinion.

Over the world, people are categorised by their eating habits into vegetarian,vegan and non-vegetarian according to the food they prefer to eat and they can freely move in any category by their own virtue.Those who prefer not to eat meat or fish ,think that it is good for their health as well as for the environment, in the next paragraphs will elaborate on this topic in detail but,personally I think the above-mentioned statement is true.

Some people think that teachers should be able to ask distruptive children to leave the class. Do you think it is the best way to deal with distruptive children in the classroom? What other solutions are there?

The opinion is divided as to whether or not students with disturbing characters be excused out of the lecture hall as a way of discipline. while some argue that this is the most effective measure of achieving orderliness in classrooms, I believe that there are other ways of addressing and cubbing indiscipline at school which are constructive.

The personal information of many individuals is held by large internet companies and organisations. Do you think the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages?

In the present day, with the advance of globalization and technology, access to personal information by third parties is a primary concern in any society. Although some citizens strive to maintain this information in safety, the usage of cutting-edge equipment by companies and organizations to access them has become increasingly popular. From my point of view, the disadvantages of this current situation outweigh the advantages.

Students in schools and universities learn more from their teachers than through other means such as the Internet, libraries, and TV. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is undeniable that students now can learn a lot through the Internet, libraries, and TV. However, I believe that teachers play an irreplaceable role in education and agree with this idea.

Some people think that all entertainment TV programmes should educate people about the importance of social issues. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

There is a tremendously controversial statement heating a debate over whether or not all amusement TV channels should raise people’s awareness about uneased issues of the society. Personally, while I believe that notorious recreational TV programmes can be an effective tool to widely disperse severe global issues, not all of them should be used for this purpose.

Some people who have been in prison become good citizens later and it is often argued that these are the best people to talk to teenagers about the dangers of committing a crime. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

From a rising of new inmates each passing year, it is easily seen that a large number of them enter prison in their teenage years. Interestingly, the majority of them reported having regret about their activities in the past. There is an argument whether teenagers should be guided regarding the dangers of committing a crime in order to prevent them from making a wrong decision. In my perspective, it is definitely good to provide guidance as children at this age is easily influenced both negatively and positively.
