I agree that very few young people read newspapers or follow the news on TV in many countries. A lot of factors that caused that. First, young people tend to have interest ini things that different with the adult. They more love to read , watch or talk about something that happening, "hits" word that they usually used. Fashion, technology, and gossip are more interesting for them than news. They think reading or watch TV is for adult or old people, they eased to get bored when talked about news.

Day by day crime rate is incresing now in these days. one simple and logical reason is, Since the population is keep incrasing obviously crime rate also increases means the ratio approximately remain same even then we asee number of crimes are increased. Secondly, in olden days media was not so popular and was not so widely used. Approximately 50 years before rarely TV are seen in some big shorts houses only. Mobile phones are common in last 20 years only. Thirdly, people were not educated. Especially in middle class people in case of rapes cases used to be hidden with the fear of respect and social insecurity. But in today's date, firstly many people are educated and women are independent and bold enough registering the cases and secondly because of media cases are coming into picture.
