These days people in some countries are living in a “throw-away” society which means people use things for a short time and then throw them away. What are the causes and problems of this?

It is now common to see people purchase things, like cell phones, clothes and other materialistic goods and only use them for a short period. A significant factor that contributes to this throwaway culture is consumerism and this leads to a range of dire consequences, such as air and land pollution.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? In twenty years there will be fewer cars in use than there are today. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

There is no doubt that cars are one of the most frequent transportation means, and many people use them for their daily commutes. However, some experts predict that they will be replaced in the near future. I am among those who believe that the number of cars in use will decrease, and in the following, I will elaborate on the reasons why.

The world that we live in today is dominated by advertising. Advertisements are on television, on the World Wide Web, on the street and even on our mobile phones. I believe that many of the strategies used to sell a product or service are very annoying as they disturb the privacy of an individual as well as influence people to purchase unwanted products.

Due to the increase in population, additional housing is required in many nations. In my ,opinion it is better to build these new houses in existing cities rather than creating new towns in the countryside because more children will have access to high-quality education and will not have to commute long distances, on the other ,hand the countryside will be preserved for wildlife that lives there.

The majority of people think that the most popular and up-to-date sports programmes such as The FIFA or Olympic games can inspire adolescents to play some sports and to pay attention to their health. On the other hand, there are various options to make mature people exercise. I will enunciate my views in the subsequent paragraphs.

In this contemporary era, technological gadgets such as TV and video games have influenced the life of every individual including children. Some people believe that it is beneficial for a country’s way of life to import non-native movies and programmes, while other communities say that it’s better to create only local products. While creating and controlling your own product is really the way, I believe that importing films and TV shows is the best option.

Recently it became trendy for some audiences to start a low-fat diet or to refuse to eat meat at all. As long as the demand rises market offers more and more choices of vegetarian food. While it is commonly known that such food lacks vital nutrition, others would argue that keeping up with a proper meal plan will actually increase living standards. In my opinion, in this situation, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.

In today's world, people living style has changed a lot as compared to what was in the past, when they used to live in only single-storey houses which were wide and spacious. However, these days in many cities people live in apartments in tall multistoried buildings arranged over a block. In this essay, I will discuss the pros and cons of living in apartment blocks till my conclusion is reached.

So controversial is this question that has been a subject of debate among sociologists and psychologists for the past decades. Although there is no denying fact that does not support this notion, just as similar as every other message that a generation intends to pass it out to the upcoming one, there are several merits and demerits involved. However, in the next ,paragraphs it will be discussed.

It is frequently argued by many that, a university education is more important than personal skills and experience, but some consider that, private skills and experience are vital for getting a good job. While education at university is useful in human life, I believe that developing and using personal skills are an alternative way to find a good profession.

I would like to mention that nowadays any kind of benevolent activity is in extremely demanded nurturing humanity in our society. Charity organizations participate in the philosophy of human beings in my opinion. That is why I’m absolutely convinced, that any activity of this kind should be encouraged. Anyway, there are two aspects to consider in this matter.

Reading is one of the most important skills humans can acquire. Most of us learn how to read very early in life and use this ability on daily basis. We can read for educational purposes or for fun. Some parents believe that their children should only read educational books and avoid wasting time on other subjects. I highly disagree with this opinion as reading can be very entertaining and informative regardless of the topic of the book.
