Several individuals believe that the science of food and the way to prepare it should be taught at school while others believe that children should learn crucial lessons during class time. In this essay, I shall discuss both sides in more detail before giving my opinion.

The significance of education has been highlighted over the past decades. From this aspect, questions about whether the main aim of school is to turn children into civilised citizens and workers, rather than to benefit them as individuals arise. In my opinion, the main purpose of school is to turn children into good citizens and workers to some extent.

It is undeniable that some groups of parents let mothers stay at their homes instead of working. However, there are those who claim that they should get money as compensation from the government. Personally, I partially disagree that many authorities have to pay the wages of this point. The supporting reasons will be discussed throughout this essay.

In contemporary society, transportation has become increasingly prominent. While some governments argue that funds should be used to improve railways, some argue it shoud rather be invested into new roads. Personally, I strongly advocate the former view. However, this essay aims to analyse the impact that railways have on the environment and society, while also looking at how alternative roads can benefit private car owners.

In contemporary society, online shopping has become increasingly prominent. It is my contention that online markets will give rise to fewer people shopping at traditional shops. While some think that adding more and more sports centres is the most beneficial way to improve the community's health, others believe that there are better ways to do this. Although increasing the number of gyms would motivate people to exercise more and become healthier, I firmly believe that educating them about health is far more effective.

There is a view that in order to maintain road safety, it is suggested to level up the minimal age for obtaining a driver's license so as to drive automobiles and individual bikes. While increasing the current age for driving vehicles can alleviate road accidents to some extent, I believe that a multi-faceted approach would be better.

Various controversies have emerged as to whether the contribution of society should only be paying taxes. Some people claim that it is totally responsible if people pay taxes to the government. From my perspective, however, there is more than taxing that the citizen should do for the betterment of society.

Some university students are keen on gaining knowledge on various subjects other than their main field of study; by contrast, others claim that studying for a qualification is of greater importance. I think that a balance of both views would be the best way to deal with university studies.

Overpopulation has been a debatable and ever-increasing issue worldwide leading to negative impacts in many fields, mainly famine and exponential growth in the denutrition rate. Some scientists believe that Genetically Modified (GM) foods are the best solution to struggle against this situation, while many others argue that it will not solve the hunger that is suffered by millions of people. I partially agree with this statement, and in this essay, I am explaining both points of view.

There is an idea which says tobacco has to be dealt with the same as other drugs. this idea believes that smoking due to numerous adverse effects with no benefits on the other side has to be banned. In my opinion, this idea is highly recommended and its feasibility needs to be evaluated.

It is apparent that food is one of humans' basic needs, therefore no other humans can be survived without eating. As a result, many people agree that genetically modified crops will play an important role in meeting an increased number of food demands, since the growth of the world population. While it is true that genetically modifying crops may cause negative effects in some aspects, however, there are also many positive effects that these crops could bring about.
