Opinions differ on whether children should be encouraged to compete or cooperate is more beneficial to adult lives. From my perspective,both are dispensable abilities in the current society.

In this contemporary modern world, numerous residents do not recycle their garbage. The environmental activists think that the new legal policies should be imposed by policymakers to manage garbage effectively. From my perspective, though some citizens oppose such laws; however, I believe that to reduce the waste, the new regulations like obligatory and encouraging rules will help, which are explored in the following paragraphs.

Learning to distinguish right from wrong at an early age is of great importance for children. To help them learn the difference, punishment is necessary. I completely agree with this point of view because getting punished is equivalent to facing the consequences of one’s bad behaviour. However, only mild punishments should be allowed.

Public libraries play a vital role in providing resources to improve one's knowledge in any required area. Some people argue that the goal of public libraries is to offer only the print media and not to have wasted their floor area by extending support through the digital media such as computer software, DVDs and videos. In my opinion, I disagree with this statement as not every person cannot own the latter.

In recent days, people seem to be more interested in social status and financial income than moral virtues. In my opinion, values such as trust, empathy and courage are far more important than social rank because social rank is extremely volatile and traditional virtues lead to strong relationships.
