The two plans illustrates changes to a ground floor of museum from 1990 to 2010. The most significant alteration was the location of statue. In 2010 it had been moved to the centre of ground floor from the left side of stairs. Moreover there was instead of Archeology gallery, a Children’s interactive zone and Poster display area on the right part of floor. The natural history room was located on the left part of the building, while the archaeology gallery was on the right side. Additionally, there was built a lift between Local history room and Gift shop that was enlarged and became also a Cafe. Therefore, some of walls from Local history room to Children’s interactive zone had been taken down. However Museum office did not change the location, Reception Counter moved closer to the expanded entrance. Overall, ground floor of museum has undergone a number of major alterations since 1990 to 2010.
