They usually bought food or some gadgets and stuff like that online because it is kind of dangerous. For instance, also our family bought foods online instead of going grocery shopping cause my mom thought it is kind of dangerous. Nowadays even though covid 19 is not really dangerous, my mom still buys online cause she is kind of lazy to go there now.

I generally purchase things like clothes or gadgets by card. It is definitely an easier way to purchase stuff.
