Session 1. A Problem. Starting point The start point is the question - do we have any connection between socio-demographic students' characteristics and their involvement in online-education? There are some restrictions: the research will focus on Russia online-education students; data will collect information only from one LMS, and only from students 22+ years old. Right now we have at least three different definitions of “involvement” in education, and, moreover, each of them includes the factor of educational environment. This factor are hardly could be studied in online-education particularly. We don’t know how to choose online-education factors of involvement. As one more point of interest, I’d like to mention that we already know a lot about offline education inequality, part of it is based on socio-demographic reasons.
