Schools should concentrate on teaching students the academic subjects that will be useful for their future careers. Subjects such as music and sports are not useful. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is sometimes argued that schools should remove non-academic subjects such as music and sports from (the educational/its) syllabus so that students will focus on academic fields which are helpful for their professions. While it is true that intellectual subjects are important, I do not believe that fully concentrating on teaching academic subjects at school is a good idea. Firstly, from the health point of view, non-academic activities are helpful not only for students’ physical health but also their mental health. For instance, after studying and sitting in compulsory classes for the whole morning, it is better for students to do some outdoor or art activities such as dancing, playing basketball to get rid of stress. As a result, their learning ability and concentration in the afternoon will be improved. It is widely debated whether animals should be used or not for experiments. In the past animal experimentation has brought us a great deal of development and new discoveries against diseases and pathologies. I believe that, without those experiments, we would not have arrived where we are now and therefore, I cannot deny the utility of scarifying animals for medical purposes. Nevertheless, I think that the advanced technology of this century, should help us abandoning these kinds of experiments, as this is an unethical practice that we continue to perpetuate for reason of convenience, instead of looking at proper alternatives. If before many students were studying mainly in their own country, nowadays we can witness an increase in the number of students that take the opportunity to study overseas. We can certainly claim to be advantages, but also disadvantages regarding this choice. The first disadvantage of studying abroad is that the language used, it is a foreign one and this might have repercussion during the learning process. In other words, learning new complex topics using a different language from the native one, can make some concepts more difficult to understand and it could lead to fail some exams, slowing down the university career. Another disadvantage is related to the so-called brain drain. It is widely argued that people who own cars have highly increased over the last thirty years with negative consequences such as big traffic jams in many cities around the world. I strongly believe that this claim is valid and can be proved on a daily basis through economic researches, by measuring the stress of drivers stuck in traffic and also by measuring the air quality. The number of cars has increased, especially in those cities where public transportation had not been adequately implemented. The worldwide growth of the population is rising more and more becoming the main issue we have to face nowadays. The rise's in the world population is an effect that is due to the improved standard of life we are facing today. Compared with previous centuries, we are now healthier and we have access to more nutrients than it was in the past. The technology improved greatly and we are now able to tackle the health problem more easily. The creation of vaccines, for example, had helped us to deal with global diseases that in the past were the main reason for mass deaths. If in the past the main source of food came from subsistence agriculture, but after the industrial revolution more jobs were created and the life condition improved. It is aguerd about the importance of study history at classes. Many modern education present an obrigatory to put in their student schedule at the schools to sutdy the principal outmarks of the world. International sporting events such as the Olympic Games ans de Football Wordl Cup provide an outlet for patriotic feelings, and help reduce international tensions. To what extent do you agree od disagree with this topic?

I strogly agree that the internnational events and sports provided an autlet for patriotic feelings. About tensions among the countries, I believe the they pause in the news, but not reduce before then happened. I alreary went to a World Cup football play in my city and the energy was so high. Even I did not see my country plays, as a Japan versus Puerto Rico planying, but the cerimony, the music, the people dressing the t-shirt wich repreented ther contries was magic, I can imagine if I was watching a Brazil´s game. But at the end of the competititon, the problems of war, money, political and hungry, comes back to the news.

School uniforms differ from school dress codes, which set rules about what cannot be worn but do not need a specific set of attire. Some believes that codes and school uniforms are the codes and school uniforms are such restrictions limit students’ freedom of expression. While on the other side some group of people believe that the School Uniform Policy serves as an improvement in a student’s life, but it restricts students’ freedom of expression and could be costly. As living standard moves up to a new height, it comes as no surprise to see millennials spending excessive time on routes to entertain themselves outside school campus. However, whether that or other factors are playing a part in the lack of students’ concentration still has not reached a clear scientific consensus.
