I do not think the fact that fewer and fewer languages remain in use every year is an important matter as it leads people to live more easily and comfortably. It will be really convenient if one can talk with others from various parts of the world without the need for a live translator or special software for assistance. This means that different nations around the globe are likely to be able to cooperate more closely if fewer languages are in use. For instance, a conference at the United Nations will be more convenient and productive for politicians if they all can communicate using a limited set of languages, or perhaps even one, instead of having to wait for translations. Although there can be beneficial, there are some disadvantages like the difficulty how to pronounce the mother language properly and sometimes their brains which cannot access easily are not ready to learn a new thing. In my opinion, despite these downsides, children learning a second language at a primary school has advantages is more significant than at secondary school.
