The escalation of human longevity globally, courtesy of medical advancements, dietary improvements, and increased health consciousness, has led to a significant increase in the elderly population in many nations. There are differing viewpoints on this phenomenon. While one School argues that an ageing population could lead to governmental complexities, another perspective believes that the experience and wisdom an ageing population brings embody a valuable asset to society. In considering both ends of the argument, I contend that the benefits of an ageing population surpass the disadvantages by a considerable margin.
