It is widely thought, that being a non-native speaker in a country one lives can be difficult socially and practically. I totally agree with this statement. Although living abroad could be an interesting adventure, people can face such problems as loneliness and difficulties in finding a proper job.

Rich people are getting richer, and poor people are getting poorer. The gap between rich and poor people is widening. What problems can the situation cause? What can be done to reduce this gap?

The amount of income of people is always an important topic in social sciences. The equilibrium of society depends on how this income is shared among the society. Sadly, with the start of the 1950s, the gap between poor and rich has become wider and nowadays this gap has reached its peak point.

A great number of elderlies are spending the last years of their lives at nursing houses, which requires a great deal of money to take care of them. There is much controversy over the most responsible party to pay this fee. It is noteworthy to bear in mind that both families and governments have a duty toward the old generation; however, I believe that the government should take the responsibility for this payment. The following essay will overlook two rationales behind my idea.

it is important for children to learn the difference between right and wrong at an early age. Punishment is necessary to help them learn this distinction. Learning the difference between right and wrong is one of the most important concepts, which is crucial to be well-understood. Punishment is considered to be an effective method in this regard that is not supported by psychologists, especially physical punishment. In my opinion, although the best method to modify children's behaviour is encouragement sometimes punishment is essential. However, parents and school authorities must seriously be restricted from using physical punishment, while they should be allowed to fine children appropriately.

If someone does bad, they should receive punishment in any way. Jails are institutions made by the government to punish criminals, though they have turned out to be bad places, they are still good for punishment. In jails there are lots of programmes and activities that can help prisoners to reform, also there are therapy programmes that can help with psychological issues which make people turn away from crime. However, places of punishment should not be luxurious to the extent that people will enjoy being in jails than being outside.
