It is widely assumed that poorer countries should be aided in critical sectors such as health, education, and trade by richer ones. Although the humanitarian intention behind such dedication is understandable, it is challenging and fraught with drawbacks. As a result, I hold the opposite opinion. This essay will discuss this topic and provide detailed reasons.
In recent years, the number of refugees fleeing conflict, persecution, and poverty has risen dramatically. While some argue that wealthier nations have a moral duty to accept and support more refugees, others contend that such responsibilities should not be imposed. Personally, I strongly agree that affluent countries should take greater responsibility by accommodating more refugees and offering them essential support such as food and housing.
In today’s world, the increasing number of incurable diseases as a result of the modern way of living has led many to believe that traditional medicines are the way to go. In my view, these remedies alone should not be used in trying to cure new diseases due to the lack of foundational theories and research studies, backed by science.
Many people argue that spending public funds on the artistic fields, such as music and theatre, is unnecessary and that these resources should instead be directed towards essential public services. However, I completely disagree with this view, as I believe that investing in the arts is equally important for preserving cultural heritage and can also generate significant revenue for the national treasury.
Some people believe that the extinction of species is a natural part of the evolutionary process , similar to what happened with ancient species. Therefore, they argue that there was no need for humans to intervene. I partially disagree with this view and will present my reasons in the following essay.
These days, some individuals believe that parents should encourage their children to participate in planned group activities during their free time. However, others argue that independent play, such as playing with toys, is more valuable for a child’s development. In this essay, I will discuss both perspectives and explain why I believe self-directed play is ultimately more beneficial.
Although dogs are among the most popular pets worldwide, many people are against their presence in urban areas. I disagree with this notion. Dogs have a critical role in the city's health. This essay will outline the benefits of dogs in cities as long as owners address the concerns related to them.
It is often argued that raising the cost of petrol is the most effective way to address the growing problems of traffic congestion and environmental pollution. However, this essay completely disagrees with this notion. Increasing fuel prices can lead to financial hardship for residents and does not directly resolve the core issues of pollution.
It has been observed that in recent years, there has been a growing trend of tourists travelling to remote and harsh destinations like the Sahara Desert and Antarctica. While this journey offers unique experiences, it also poses several challenges; thus, this essay will explore both the benefits and drawbacks of this type of tourism.
Each job can have some challenges which lead to a strike. While some people argue that all employees have the right to strike, others believe that it is not feasible. I side with the latter view because it leads to social unrest.
Nowadays, there is an ongoing debate about whether university students should choose the field they are passionate about or engage more in science and technological courses, which are more future-related. I think they should pursue their preferred major.
In many nations, young people are overlooking their opportunity to participate in elections. The primary problem of this phenomenon is the under-representation of youth in democratic processes, and the most viable solution is to educate their citizens about the dangers and consequences of such disengagement.
There are a large number of students studying a second language. There is an ongoing debate about whether they should also learn the culture of the people who speak the language. For my part, I strongly agree that they should do so and will discuss this in further detail in the following paragraphs.
An arising issue in recent decades has been related to the overconsumption of natural resources such as trees, water or mineral oil. This essay will discuss some consequences created by this problem and the solution to tackle it.
There is a debate over what is the best way to future a career, some saying that studying at university is more vital, others argue that being employed after graduating from school is a better route. In my opinion, studying at a highly educated university can give us more opportunities for our future profession.
The improvement of health, education, and trade is vital for the growth of developing countries. While some believe that the responsibility for such progress should lie primarily with wealthier nations, I believe that although richer countries can play a supportive role, the primary responsibility must rest with the governments of the poorer nations themselves.
An increasing number of toddlers are using mobile devices for extended periods daily. A rationale from parents is that this keeps their children entertained, and could also be a positive development, as toddlers can learn from educational apps.
In the modern world, all nations over the world are in the race to enhance their economy to raise residents' living standards, whereas a majority of people believe that this may bring several issues within the society. From my perspective, economic advancement has its pros and cons , but I believe that the consequences outweigh the advantages for some reasons mentioned in this essay.
In today’s globalised world, a significant number of people's clothing is influenced by ongoing fashion trends. From my perspective, it is considered a negative trend.
Some people believe that unpaid community service should be a required part of high school education. They think that students should help in activities such as charity work, cleaning up the neighbourhood, or coaching younger children. I partly agree with this idea because it has both advantages and disadvantages.
