Some people think that children who spend a lot of time reading children’s story books are wasting their time which could be better used doing other useful activities. To what extent do you agree?

There is no denying the fact that some people believe that kids are wasting their time when they spend a lot of time reading stories instead of doing other activities. While it is a commonly held belief that allocating most of their time to activities may be more beneficial, there is also an argument that opposes it. In my opinion, I consider that reading is essential for kids in many ways.

It is an undeniable fact that, due to technological advancements more people prefer using digital books and newspapers instead of traditional ones in the predicted future.From my own perspective, the role of printed books or newspapers will be replaced by reading online for free.

Some people believe that art is one of the essential parts of our life and it symbolizes societies’ culture. I believe that art develops critical thinking, creativity and emotional expression. That means that it is a good opportunity to teach children different skills. Although I think that while art should be encouraged, it should not overshadow other academic subjects that are equally important for a child’s growth.

Appropriate waste handling is one of the important factors to save the environment. One part of society considers that recycled waste is not properly disposed of by the residential sector, thereby, the government should formulate and enforce strict rules for recycled waste management. I completely agree with this statement, and explain the need in the upcoming paragraphs.

Feeding the world’s growing population is becoming an increasingly urgent challenge. Some people believe that genetically modified (GM) foods represent a viable solution, as they can help farmers increase yields at lower costs. However, I believe that although this technology offers certain benefits, the potential risks to human health and the environment suggest that more sustainable and natural alternatives should be prioritised.

Parents have raised their concerns about schooling methods which are used to teach their pupils in schools. It is often believed that stiff competition among students in class has a detrimental impact on their child, while others claim that challenging surroundings encourage children to increase their productivity and facilitate them to develop creative thinking skills. This essay will first look at the arguments in favour of this before moving on to look at those against it. In spite of the argument in favour, I believe that, despite some prospects of intense competition, generally it takes a toll on the mental health of a child in schools.
