There is a view stating that the younger generation is posed to a higher level of pressure in terms of academic success. This view then becomes the basis for a certain belief that subjects that are not related to academics, like sports and cooking, need to be taken out of the curriculum in order to get the students to solely focus on schoolwork that is of an academic nature. I disagree with this belief because schools need to provide holistic education towards the students, and despite being considered as non-academic materials, nonetheless, they are still as important to be learned by the students as do their academic counterparts.

Over the past few decades, some metropolis areas all over the world have observed a replacement of cars by bicycles, whereas the opposite was true for some others. In light of this, the writer contends that the increase in personal finance along with awareness of the environment are the root causes for these changes, while the preference for bicycles is more beneficial for personal fitness improvement.

Over the years, governing bodies have continuously passed bills to restrict international travel as it is detrimental to the environment. Developing countries are strongly against this idea because 70% of their income is derived from the influx of foreign visitors, whereas developed countries support the government’s decision. This essay completely agrees with the stance of the advanced countries. I believe that foreign trips are hazardous to the climate and that tourists tend to act inhumanely in new societies.

Of all the problems that are still baffling scientists, perhaps one of the most challenging is how to combat the effects of the ageing process. Although there are sensible reasons why increasingly many people choose to have plastic surgery such as a face-lift or brow-lift or buy beauty products to make themselves look younger. I feel that this development is largely negative.

Nowadays, the final destination of academics is always a concern and argued about how it should be. Certain people hold the view that the ultimate goal of schools produce a good population and workers instead of bringing advantages to each person. From my point of view, even though becoming a responsible resident is vital to some extent, improving the personality of pupils is more significant.

I personally believe that non-academic subjects are as important as academic subjects and should not be eliminated from the school's curriculum.
