Language is an essential part of cultural identity, yet many languages disappear every year. Some argue this loss is insignificant and that having fewer languages would simplify communication and daily life. However, I strongly disagree with this view, as the extinction of language leads to the erosion of cultural heritage and the loss of valuable knowledge embedded in linguistic diversity.
In recent decades, environmental degradation has become a pressing issue worldwide. Some argue that raising the price of fuels is the most effective way to tackle global environmental problems. While this strategy may yield certain benefits, I believe that it should be combined with other measures in order to produce a more profound and lasting impact on the planet.
It is often argued by parents that computer games hold no academic value and, in fact, exert a profoundly negative influence on children’s mental and physical development. While it is undeniable that excessive gaming can lead to adverse outcomes, I contend that when managed appropriately, computer games can offer considerable benefits, and the key lies in moderation and parental guidance.
With the growing emphasis on workplace dynamics, there is an ongoing debate about whether employers should prioritize hiring individuals based on their social skills instead of academic qualifications. While some argue that technical expertise is the foundation of professional success, I firmly agree that social skills should be given precedence in recruitment because effective communication enhances collaboration and strong interpersonal abilities foster leadership and adaptability.
A firm has an obligation to give feedback to its employees based on their hard work, but at the same time, it needs to foster good relationships among employees. I strongly disagree with this statement because it will lead to injustice, and also, different educational backgrounds lead to different positions.
The issue of plastic shopping bags as a primary source of rubbish and environmental pollution has become a contentious topic worldwide. Many argue that banning these bags is an essential step towards mitigating both land and water pollution, while others believe that a ban might not be the most effective solution. I largely agree that plastic shopping bags should be banned, due to their detrimental impact on the environment, but I also recognize the necessity for a comprehensive approach that includes public awareness and alternative solutions.
