The chart illustrates the percentages of female school-leavers who pursued higher education in five different countries in 1980 and 2015. Overall, most countries saw a marked increase in the proportion of women entering university, with the notable exception of Australia, where figures remained virtually unchanged. The USA and Australia consistently recorded the highest participation rates across both years, whereas South Korea—despite substantial growth—continued to have the lowest figures among the five countries.
As cities continue to expand, transportation becomes an increasingly important issue. Some people argue that governments should focus on developing better public transport systems for everyone rather than building more roads for private car owners. I strongly agree with this view because efficient public transportation can reduce traffic congestion, protect the environment, and improve accessibility for all citizens.
Some people think that businesses should ensure their social responsibilities instead of trying only to make money. I strongly agree with this view. While it is important for companies to earn money, they must also accept social responsibilities to protect people and the environment. In this essay, I will explain why both aims are needed and why social duties cannot be ignored.
Many people think that too much time and money are spent on protecting animals, and that these resources should be used for humans instead. I disagree with this opinion. In my view, protecting animals is still very important because it helps keep nature balanced, brings benefits to humans, and reducing such spending may cause bigger problems in the future.
Many people argue that customs and traditional behaviour are becoming irrelevant in recent years and are not worth keeping. I strongly agree with this view; while some traditional ways of acting retain their meaning, some should be banned because they harm individuals and society. In this essay, I will discuss both views and show the reason why some traditional thinking should be removed.
There is no denying the fact that training is a crucial part of practising a profession. It is a commonly held belief that workers in specific fields, such as healthcare and construction workers should be required to work in the region where they did their training. There is also an argument that they should have the choice to move to another country to work. This essay will analyse this topic from both points of view and express my opinion.
There is a common debate about whether university students should study any subject they like or only those that are useful for the future, such as science and technology. While some people believe that focusing on practical subjects is better for the economy, I agree that students should be free to choose their own courses.
In modern society, there is an ongoing debate about the role of women. While some people believe that women should have the same opportunities as men to pursue careers and succeed professionally, others argue that their primary responsibility should be limited to managing the household and raising children. In my opinion, women should be given equal opportunities to work, although the final decision should depend on their personal preferences and family circumstances.
It is argued that having trained animals has a positive impact on the young, while others believe it's disadvantageous for safety and health. While having pets can help children develop attributes like care, I believe keeping them in the house can lead to accidents and negatively affect a child’s well-being.
There is an ongoing debate about whether it is more beneficial to work for the same organisation during a person’s professional life or to experience different working environments.
It is widely debated whether capital punishment should be used or not. This issue has attracted considerable attention in recent years due to the growing concern about crime and punishment. While some people argue that legal execution should not be used, others believe that it should only be applied for the most serious crimes. This essay will examine both perspectives before presenting my own opinion.
In many residential developments, improving public health has become a central objective. Some argue that increasing the number of sports facilities within VinGroup or Vinhomes communities would be the most effective way to enhance residents’ well-being. Others, however, contend that such measures alone would have limited impact and that broader strategies are necessary. While expanding sports infrastructure can contribute positively, I believe that a more comprehensive approach is required to achieve meaningful improvements in public health.
Artificial intelligence (AI) has rapidly become an integral part of modern society, transforming industries, economies and everyday life. While many argue that AI has the potential to significantly enhance human well-being, others express concern about its possible risks and unintended consequences. Although these concerns are valid, I believe that the benefits of AI ultimately outweigh its drawbacks, provided that its development is carefully regulated.
People have different approaches to their social lives; some strive to expand their network of acquaintances, while others focus their energy on a small group of intimate friends. This essay will discuss both views, but I believe that while a broad network offers more opportunities, a few deep relationships are more essential for long-term emotional well-being.
Society has been divided into two parts; the first group believes that policymakers should concentrate on developing railways, while others, vice versa, opine that highway construction is more important.
In today’s modern world, there is an ongoing debate about whether children should participate in physical leisure activities to develop essential life skills. While some people argue that reading books is more effective, I believe that a balanced combination of both activities is most beneficial.
There is considerable disagreement over whether governments should prioritize investment in public school or universities . I strongly agree that governments should allocate more funding to public school . The main reasons are as follows.
Nowadays, an increasing number of people hold different views on whether governments should allocate public funds to the arts or prioritise public services. While both areas are important, I believe that investing in the arts can generate long-term economic and social benefits.
It is argued that the personal details of political figures should not be made public through the print media. I completely agree with this statement, as it would promote the politicians' mental health and provide security for# their family life.
Television has become a significant part of younger generations' lives in our modern era, and its influence on their development is a widely debated topic. Some argue that the content children watch has a greater impact on their behaviour, while opponents believe that the total time spent in front of screens plays a more significant role. This essay will examine both perspectives before explaining why I believe the nature of the content is the more decisive factor.
