Lately, art is increasing its popularity because artists are showing up its importance of it in our society. However, many individuals claim that government should fund and promote artistic and cultural activities for their population, while others think that it should be left to private companies or institutions. In the following lines, I will discuss both points of view and then reach a solid conclusion.
In the salad days of the millennium, it has been proven that illiteracy is the major contributing factor behind the increased number of crimes. However, it is generally believed that the most suitable method to cut down the crime rate is to provide criminals schooling behind bars so they are able to get a good job after they get free. Nonetheless, I partially agree with this notion and in the following paragraphs, I would shed light on numerous reasons to support my stance.
Smoking has been banned in public places like parks, hospitals and restaurants in many nations, and it is a law that many community support. I agree with this initiative because it reduces the harmful effects of passive smoking and also encourages smokers to quit.
Some people believe that TV shows can be beneficial for the development of children while some people believe the opposite idea. I believe that watching some kinds of shows can be useful for kids but there are some dangerous sides if suitable genres are not chosen by parents.
Nowadays, breakthroughs in science and technology have created a dire need for teaching subjects like computers and science in schools, whereas music should not be taught since it does not bring any practical value. I completely agree with this statement and the reasons for this ideology could be the opportunities these two subjects create and the complexity of the topics learnt in these subjects. I will elaborate on the aforesaid reasons in the writing that follows.
It is often argued by many people that working is an important thing in their life. While others believe that life is useless without a successful career, I completely disagree with this statement since prioritizing work would lead to severe health issues.
Surging college fees and decreasing employment opportunities have brought up the thought among the public of eliminating non-practical lectures, including arts, philosophy and history in universities. Many people believe that by teaching only practical lectures, the pupil's chances of getting a job will increase accordingly, while others are of the opposite opinion. Although Some proponents hold the view that museums ought to only display their country’s artefacts, some opponents and I believe that art and history should not have limited geographic boundaries. My contention will be further explained.
