The government's investment in arts, music, and theatre is a waste of money. Governments should invest these funds in public services instead. To what extent do you agree with this statement?

Art, music, and theatre play a vital role in showing the cultural heritage of the nation as well as the problems in society, and thus it needs financial support from the government. On the other hand, citizens are dealing with many problems like lack of proper health care system, poverty, lack of education infrastructure, etc. and therefore it is believed that the government should focus on these issues and make investments to resolve the problems instead of investing in arts, music and theatre. I do not completely agree with this statement because of the reasons discussed in this essay.

Some educators hold a belief that all children should learn to play a musical instrument. Despite the disadvantages associated with students' hectic schedules, I agree with this notion because this approach is a good way to discover young musical talents and organize healthy pastimes for youngsters.

It is undeniable that many information sources that are used to present news nowadays either on television or in newspapers mostly consist of many pictures and those have more affected consumers’ interest than words. It is widely considered that local markets are undergoing a transformation, with the emergence of retail chains and online shopping. I strongly agree with this perspective and believe that this transition can bring about more beneficial impacts on consumers' lives.

Some parents believe that the youth should own a smartphone as it is essential for them to communicate with others. Others believe that it is not necessary as children usually lack self-control. I believe that learning how to use mobile is one of the most essential skills nowadays and children should have their own smartphones.

With the development of society, various foods and medicines are made of artificial materials instead of animals as resources. So, there is an opinion that it is unacceptable to use animals as food or other goods. Nowadays, some people think that success comes from working hard, while others believe that becoming successful is all about money and personal looks. Personally, I believe that you will become successful by working hard, however, sometimes having money can be a helpful tool. I will explain my reasons in the following paragraphs.

Opinions are divided on whether teenagers who commit major crime should receive the same degree of punishment as adults. Although there is an increasing trend of younger crime rates, I believe that teenage criminals should not be punished the same as adults.

The globalised world these days makes it simpler than ever before for people to relocate and start building a life in a new country. As everyone comes from their own cultural background, a question arises of whether or not people should be expected to follow the customs of their host country. I completely agree with the view that while learning about the local customs may require some time and effort, it is valuable and will aid the integration of the newcomers into society.

In the future, people will read online without paying anything and will not waste their money on newspapers or books. I partially agree with this opinion due to the reasons which will be discussed in the following paragraphs of this essay.

In the future all cars, buses, and trucks will be driverless. The only people travelling inside these vehicles will be passengers. Do you think the advantages of driverless vehicles outweigh the disadvantages?

It is widely speculated that in the foreseeable future, traditional modes of transportation will be overshadowed and entirely replaced by driverless vehicles. In my view, the advantages of such autonomous transportation, particularly the inclusivity it offers to various societal segments and its potential to enhance safety, significantly outweigh the primary drawback of potential job displacement for chauffeurs and taxi drivers.

In today's world, many promotional advertisements are targeted towards teenagers, which has a negative impact on them. Some people believe that these videos shouldn't be watched by children. I completely agree that teenagers should avoid these advertisements.

Living in a modern society with easy access to global information, many believe that the news content published, such as descriptive criminal cases, should be regulated because it can certainly have a negative impact. From my own perspective, I am strongly opposed to banning the mention of illegal conduct in the public media.

Overweight is a big problem for many countries in the world. Some people believe that a high price of fattening foods will be a solution to this issue. In my opinion, it won’t work, because it will be hard to make that decision and there are a lot of other reasons why the population is gaining weight.

According to the prompt, people have contentious views on the case of shopping, some think this is a form of self-indulgence, while others try to buy only the absolute necessities. In my opinion, the latter is mostly a positive development for two reasons. However, there is one drawback that will be discussed.
