IELTS Opinion Writing Samples Band 8
It is increasingly common to see a person with a phone wherever they are nowadays. The same is with children, who may spend hours on their phones every day. There are several reasons for this phenomenon, and I tend to think it is a negative development.
Speaking in a foreign language could cause a lot of difficulties if you have no other choice to communicate with. Social problems are one of the important subjects that may have a direct impact on life quality when you don't speak your native language. This essay shall propound my point of view about this topic.
Nowadays parents are less likely to put pressure on their children to excel only in academics,Meanwhile, they are encouraging their kids to participate in extra-curricular activities in their free time, However, it can be argued that a child should not be forced to do these instead they need to teach how to occupy themselves on their own. In my opinion, it is parents’ responsibility to find the talent of their kids and encourage them to excel in those apart from academics.
Popular persons are subjected to biased media coverage; Some argue that the price of their glory is an intrusion into their personal lives, on the other side, public thinks that they should be afforded more privacy. We cannot generalize by saying that invasion of privacy is the price for their fame, in my opinion, television personalities should not take their acclaim as an advantage and intrude into their day-to-day personal activities.
In the era of industrialisation, the World has witnessed extensive air travel in the past few years. This has sparked discussion on whether air travel should be restricted as it contributes to toxic emissions and uses up the world's resources. I disagree, because restricting aeroplanes will not alleviate problems caused by them but taking measures to build engines which could utilize fewer resources can be useful.
Jobs are an inevitable part of every professional person's life and everyone dreams about high-level jobs since their college days. The majority of the male gender person attain such high-profile jobs in their career. It is a debatable topic whether the government should promote the fixed percentage of reservations for females towards such higher position jobs. I firmly disagree with the reservation system based on gender preferences.
Buildings are highly popular for their exterior designs. It has been argued that the intended function should be the preference when constructing a building over its outward presentation. Personally, I agree and think that building architecture should not be compromised for its exterior display.
A significant number of individuals argue that improving the value of carbon-based fuel for some kinds of vehicles is one of the most significant steps to address some detrimental issues related to the environment in our communities. Regarding this issue, I totally agree and I would like to discuss why this action should be taken as soon as possible.
In an era when the connection and corporation between nations are the very core of diplomatic policy, international aid has become a hotly debated topic. While many citizens agree with this policy, other individuals argue that instead of sending assistance to foreign lands, this amount of money should be diverted into government subsidies to solve domestic issues such as homelessness and unemployment. From my point of view, the authority should reserve a fund to provide help to other states.
In today's world, some believe that governments ought to raise the age limit for driving licenses in both motorcycles and cars to decrease the number of crashes on the road. In my opinion, I do not agree with the statement since governments should increase punishments for traffic and give education as early as possible.
Developed countries often help poorer ones by funding, however, it might be not a workable idea. Thus, some people believe that providing other types of help would be better than financial aid. I strongly agree with this statement and the reasons will be discussed in this essay.
Today,more and more people think professionals should work in their training country.But others think they have the freedom to choose where country to work.
Currently, youngsters are often glued to watching television. Although smart Television is not replaced by Papers as reading material, that is the reason these youngsters are today schooled little. I strongly agree with the statement that Children spend a significant portion of their time watching television.
An increase in population creates an increase in demands which is why leaders of different countries are anxious about continuously evolving populations across the world.It is also seen as a threat to other creatures on the earth. I intend to discuss some solutions regarding this issue.
Some people argued that skyscrapers are the best option for cities rather than landed residential. I firmly agree with this statement due to considering land availability and more privacy for the owner. I will examine my point of view in the following essay.
Some people believe that teachers should expel misbehaving students from the classroom.
As technology and society develop, personal goals are becoming more materialistic. Therefore, there can be no doubt that the topic of assessing one's worth is one which deserves some analysis. While it is partly true that modern society generally holds individuals with wealth in higher regard, I think that traditional values still have considerable importance.
In life there are different ages of humans that live together in connection, some adults believe that younger humans should live the same way they had lived. while others opine on these thoughts. I am in two minds toward this, not completely agree or disagree.
Teaching methods are crucial parts of the education system. Students at school tend to be competitive with each other. Some people think this has several disadvantages. While others believe it is important to be competitive to be better at school. In my opinion, it is vital that students compete with each other to reach their full academic potential. As long as it is a good competition and not affecting their health. This essay will discuss both views.
Some argue that only prosperous people should do philanthropy. I subscribe to this idea since their monetary power is totally capable to support everyone in difficulty across the world, and normal people should rather use their savings for personal purposes.
