There has been a contentious argument over the effect of watching TV and playing computer games on children. This essay examines both points of view and my perspective, being that these activities can be beneficial if the time spent is in moderation.

”Prevention is better than cure”. Researching and treating diseases is too costly so it would be better to invest in preventive measures. To what extent do you agree.

It is indeed the fact that a heavy chunk of funds is spent on researching and curing the diseases which can certainly be mitigated by taking prior actions to avoid the possibility of disease. I partially agree with this notion and the reason for my partial agreement is discussed in the following paragraphs.

In this contemporary era, professional success depends on an individual's capability. However, it has been argued that technical skills are more valuable than bookish knowledge. I completely agree with the aforesaid notion because, firstly it provides real gratification to the customer as well as the seller and secondly, it always provides quick solutions, help and saves time and money. It is true that some celebrities are known for their glamourous and luxurious lifestyles rather than the work they do. While I agree that this can negatively impact gullible young individuals, I strongly believe that there are other famous people that can act as positive role models.

People have different views about the studying field of students in universities, some believe that students should follow their instincts and study their favourite course, while others argue the importance of majoring in applicable fields such as science and technology-related subjects, I believe students should follow their prized fields in the educational institution.

These days there has been a drastic importation of foreign goods in our nations.However,it is argued that in super shops there must be selling of local-made produce, rather than foreign foods imported . In my opinion, I agree partially that one's countries crop cultivation must be sold out in high streets and malls rather than imported vegetation.

It is considered by some that cars are a better way to commute around the town, while there are others who prefer to ride cycle. Though using motor gives a comfortable ride to individuals and also saves their time, I believe that going by cycle is a better option as it provides physical activity to the body plus contributes to the conservation of the natural resources.

Environmental issues are now a serious threat to society. While it is considered by some that they should be addressed globally, there are others who believe that it ought to be tackled by each country independently. In my opinion, it is more effective to solve them on a global scale.

It cannon be argued that intelligent people can get almost everything in this world. However, there are some people, who feel that success is on the top of their goals, and there is nothing more important than this. Few individuals who have been to a penal institution eventually transform into amiable countrymen and it is many a time debated that these are the best persons to converse to a youngster about the repercussion of committing a felony. I strongly agree with the statement as there is no better person to advocate this subject than a reformed ex-convict who clearly understands the bearings of one’s actions.
