The restoration of old buildings in major cities in the world costs enormous government expenditure. This money should be used in new housing and road development. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays, cities all the around the world are becoming older and older, since their forming in the past. This means that the amount of buildings of older times is increasing, making a dent in the government's restoration budget. Some people claim that, this capital should be spent on improving the road systems and housing sector. In my opinion, there should be an equal distribution between the above and in this essay I will explain why.

It is felt by some that a person’s outward appearance can implicate a great deal regarding their background and character. In my opinion, although an individual’s clothing might reveal basic information about their ethnicity, it can certainly not be a valid factor in concluding one’s nature and value.

Education is building block or rather foundation for the students to become successful in life. There has been a paradigm shift in decisions of choosing the universities, nowadays students prefer to study abroad due to its various reaping benefits but on the contrary they have detrimental effects as well. Personally, I see eye to eye with the central idea.

It is a universal truth that education has a considerable bearing on people’s personal development. Given the magnitude of schooling, what should or should not be covered in the curriculum is a perennial debate. A school of thought holds that schools only offer subjects that students will be tested on, and practical skills are of little importance and, hence, should be excluded from the scope of the study program. Personally, I disagree with this statement on both counts.

It is considered that the university should take admissions with the equal amount of male and female for every area. This essay will disagree with the above statement and give an evidence why the student should be admitted according to their interest.

Gifts are called token of love. Some short sighted people claim that, the best way to show care about dear ones to give gifts to them. While, others argued that, there are also some other ways to depict love, as affection and respect for our family and friends is more crucial than a gift. I will discuss both views in the upcoming paragraphs below.

While some people are of the view that curbing criminal activities is the sole duty of the authority, others opine that each person is responsible for their safety and protection. In my opinion, the government has a greater responsibility to keep criminal activities in check by enforcing stricter laws. Having said that, citizens also need to do whatever they can to ensure their freedom.

Nowadays, it is a very common to download from the internet and it is becoming a topic of debate whether it is legal or not. However, while many advocates that music piracy doesn’t effect on the music industry, I side with those who believe that it does affect the music industry as a whole.

According to manifold people discussing environmental issues at an international platform is better, whereas, others consider it can be resolved at the domestic level. In my opinion, I do believe with this notion because the challenges that have been impacting worldwide should be discussed at a broader side, however, basic hurdles can be handled in a nation itself.

Some people argue that parents should motivate their offspring to participate in liaison activities, whereas on the contrary, others say that it is essential for children to become self oriented. In my opinion, a balanced approach will be appropriate because both of these characteristics are beneficial for raising a child who is self dependent and cooperative too.

There is a perception that finances ought to be spent on constructing the newer buildings, instead of altering the existing ones. I disagree with this opinion and believe that alteration and repair work in existing buildings is more cost-effective. Moreover, these buildings include those of cultural value that must be safeguarded at any cost.
