The two plans show changes to the ground floor of the museum from 1990 to 2010. The most striking alteration was made in the upper-right corner, where the Archaeology gallery was replaced and divided into two new areas: the Children's interactive zone and the Poster display area. Another noticeable change is the statue's position in the plan, which was moved from the top-left corner to the centre. At the same time, the Entrance was enlarged, the Reception counter expanded, and was even rotated diagonally. Furthermore, a lift appeared in the image on the right between the gift shop, which in 2010 was turned into a cafe and gift shop, and the Natural history room.
