In today's era, for shopping, consumers prefer to visit big shopping malls owing to the number of domestic vendor shops being shut down. In my opinion, it is a negative development. I will articulate the negative effects with a plausible explanation.

It is a common belief that spending public money on leading a healthy lifestyle is more crucial to prevent disease than spending it on medical treatment. I am partly in agreement with this view though more public funding should be invested in treating old people or individuals suffering from hereditary diseases.

Certain individuals end up spending a lot of their lives close to the area they were born. This is because some people have family property inheritance while some stay as a result of place attachment. These reasons have both merit and demerit. The advantage of this is to feel secure because that particular area is seen as a comfort zone. On the other hand, this can limit an individual sense of exposure which serves as a disadvantage.

In the contemporary rea, technology is advancing by leap and bounds. Majority of masses operate internet and cell phones to send finances to their friends,family members and for business purposes. In my opinion, this is a positive development though it may have some negative aspects which will be explicated in the subsequent paragraphs.
