Some people believe that the only purpose for anyone to learn a second language is to travel or work abroad. Others argue that this is not the only purpose why someone needs to learn a second language. Discuss both these views and give your own opinions.

Whereas several people believe that the only aim to learn other language are for working or travelling matters, another group think that there are multiple reasons to do it. It is true that one of the main purposes of learning a second tongue is to work or travel abroad, however, is not the only one. Many people have a cultural interest in learning a language, even entire societies use to learn second language at school for cultural reasons. This essay agrees with the second group mentioned, those who think that work and travel are not the only reasons.

While the motives for this shift of attitudes can vary, it has several detrimental consequences on society.

It is suggested that most people will have an easy life within a century, but some people are skeptical of this view. Even though it is reasonable to expect some new challenges in the future such as climate change and World Wars, I personally subscribe to the optimistic view.

Some individuals consider motor vehicles more convenient to go around in a city however, others trust bicycles to make it more suitable to travel in a place surrounding their residents. My concerns on this are simple I believe both ways have their own benefits which I am going to explain in upcoming paragraphs.

It is believed that subjects which require an imaginative mind such as the arts and creative writing provide discernable advantages to children. In my opinion, I fully agree with this belief as such subjects provide many benefits to children.

As mass communication and transport continue to grow, societies are becoming more and more alike leading to a phenomenon known as globalization. Some people fear that globalization will inevitably lead to the total loss of cultural identity.

Globalisation is the process of integration amongst people which was brought about by an unprecedented development in technology, especially in communication and transportation. This process has made cultures and traditions converge into one, creating a belief that cultural identity will fade into a monochrome of uniformity. However, in my opinion, I believe that cultural identity will never be lost as we approach a more globalised world.

The debate about museum entrance fees centers on a tricky balance between keeping museums financially healthy and making sure everyone can visit. While free entry is great for including everyone, a well-designed system for charging admission can give museums the money they need to be successful. In the end, well-planned fees along with programs aimed at reaching specific groups of people offer the best solution.
