In the modern era, the issue of whether or not students can select their own subjects in school has become highly controversial. There are those who say that it is one of the rights of pupils to pick up what to learn by themselves, however, others believe that it is not. In this essay, I will examine both sides of the argument and provide my overall opinion.

Nowadays, there is an increasing number of individuals who have obesity. Some assert that it can be solved by making fattening food prices higher. Nonetheless, I completely disagree with that statement due to reasons that will be discussed in the following paragraph.

There are split opinions regarding the achievements and work. Some people believe that it is more beneficial to work while studying, whereas another group of thinkers support that achievements can be earned by giving all of the time to study. However, both have their own pros and cons. Therefore, before commenting on my decision, both aspects will be discussed.

However, in this essay, I tend to disagree with the statement and I will explain some reasons regarding this.

During the twentieth century, as populations expanded and more people moved to the city, life changed in many ways, including how we go shopping. While previously people would purchase what they needed at small, local shops, by the end of the century people were primarily shopping at larger malls and superstores. This essay will argue that it is neither a positive nor a negative development: in fact, it is simply a natural change.

It is said that these days, several individuals spend a sizeable amount of their spare time on their smartphones. I think that a lack of public awareness and having a hectic schedule are the main reasons for the present situation. Moreover, in my opinion, the negative effects of this behaviour can override its positives.
